Visited because we felt that a trip to London wouldn’t be complete without including Westminster Abbey. Was interesting but not the best thing we did in London, However, do respect its history and role in its nation’s major events.
This is just an entry ticket. If you want a real tour with a knowledgeable tour guide look elsewhere.

Visiting Westminster is a must-do. The history is staggering, and the audio tour really adds to the overall experience. With that said, most people will probably get through the audio tour in no more than 90 minutes, so you could easily squeeze other tourist places into your day if you do this tour (pending time of day). And yes, it can get crowded.

I wear hearing aids due to severe hearing deficit, and I require a cane. It was impossibile to read the captions on the screen, see all the beauty and history of the Abbey, and watch where I was walking at the same time. If the audio were attached to Bluetooth for my hearing aids, my tour of this magnificent Abbey would have been much more enjoyable.

We used an audio tour. Lots of historical info. Wish there were better instructions/signage. Helpful staff were present. Very crowded with visitors!!!

I had trouble locating the meeting point. I was back-and-forth between inside the gate and the shop until finally I was told I had to go back around to the side gate.

It must always be remembered that this activity is solitary (without a guide). Just enter at the established time and hand over the ticket to receive the audio guide and permission to visit.

You will get much more out of this experience by following the audio guide. This may require stopping the script to give time to see all the artifacts. An absolutely stunning, should-not-miss tour.
