En af de mest karakteristiske landsbyer i Cinque Terre med et vidunderligt torv, så meget at det inspirerer pixar disney til at skabe den nye tegneserie Luca. Vi anbefaler stærkt et stop til frokost i landsbyens typiske restauranter.
Den eneste by i 5 Terre, der er bygget helt på bakken. Vi får desværre ikke mulighed for at lægge til, da der ikke er en rigtig marina. Udsigten fra havet vil dog stadig være mere end tilfredsstillende
Udsigten fra havet af denne landsby er skør, som kan prale af en smuk juletradition med gengivelse af fødsel på bakken foran landsbyen. Vi besøger byen fra havet med flere minutters stop foran landsbyen for at tage utrolige billeder
Oprindelsen af landsbyen Riomaggiore, ifølge en gammel legende overleveret mundtligt, men ikke bekræftet af historiske kilder, er sporet tilbage til det ottende århundrede. Faktisk siges det, at en gruppe græske flygtninge, for at undslippe forfølgelserne af den ikonoklastiske kejser Leo III Isaurico, efter forskellige omskiftelser landede på spidsen af Montenero og etablerede bosættelser i højdedragsområdet. Andrea was a great skipper. We motored from a Santa Margherita to his Cinque Terre. The boat was quite luxurious. He taught us about all the small villages along our journey. When we got to Cinque Terre, he had prearranged a lunch in a truely local restaurant - with the best seat in the house. We felt truly spoiled. We stopped for pictures along the way and had lovely conversations and about his love of Italy and the regions z

We had a great time with our captain! He was very flexible with location and time of pick up, and was able to make reservations in advance for lunch at one of the stops. We have a teenager and a 21 year old that loved the cliff diving! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a personalized experience!!
The best part of Cinque Terra was the trip from Portofino by boat and back to Portofino. We were extremely fortunate to have found Andrea. His personality was delightful and his knowledge of each of the five cities was very extensive. When it was lunch time, he was able to make reservations at a spectacular restaurant with an amazing view, even though the restaurant was already totally booked. It would be hard in our estimation to find a better boat captain to enjoy Cinque Terra. I do not want to neglect mentioning his boat, I did not see a better one, it was clean with beautiful lines and handled the seas in comfort.
