Great tour! Our guide led us on a tour that included lots of great history and lots of great food! It included the beautiful Chinese Gardens which was a highlight.

What an amazing tour! It was so much more than just learning about the food...we truly learned a ton about the Chinese culture, religion, their Canadian history, the Chinatown area, Chinese medicine and of course the food. Our guide was Kenson and at first I was disappointed we didn't get Robert for our guide but that was quickly put to rest as Kenson was super knowledgeable and an excellent guide. He's a bit of a "soft talker" so we had to listen carefully but we were able to get all the info. We loved all the food we received on the tour and were so full that we didn't need to eat dinner that night. Do not miss this tour...it was worth every penny and I was glad I brought my 16 year old to experience it.

We had a fantastic day in Chinatown with our very friendly group and excellent guide, Kenson. The food was delicious, the pacing was on point, and the tour while informative, it was always just the right amount of detail. I loved the tea shop and the tea brewing demonstrations. If you’re a foodie, this was a great day out.

We originally signed up for A Wok Around Chinatown expecting a great food tour with a quick peak at the nearby gardens, but it turned out to be so much more! Bob Sung led us on a fantastic cultural journey. Not only did we get to sample the amazing food that Chinatown has to offer, but Bob also shared deep insights into the history of the neighborhood, its people, customs, and religion. It was an incredibly educational, engaging, and well-rounded experience for my whole family. I wish there had been more information about the Dim Sum and the ability to try more dishes than just dumplings and noodles. My favorite stop was the Treasure Green where we learned about tea traditions. If you want to truly understand and appreciate Vancouver's Chinatown while eating delicious food, this tour is a must!

This was a GREAT walking tour and Kenson was AMAZING! He knows so much Chinese history, architecture and the gardens were beautiful. The tour was a good amount of walking, but the only thing to mention is there is a lot of STANDING as well. The BBQ, apple buns, tarts and tea demo all were standing but it was worth it for the delicious food at the end at the Jade Dynasty Restaurant! thank you Kenson and Robert for a GREAT TOUR in Vancouver BC!

Thomas was our guide & he was a fountain of knowledge! Appreciated getting to see inside of 3 gardens/museums and learning about the history of Chinese immigrants who founded Chinatown. The selection of food was excellent, we should have come to the tour hungrier than we did!! Quality was superb, and finishing the tour at the teahouse to learn about Kung fu tea was awesome. Recommend this tour for anyone wanting to appreciate both Chinese culture and food. Highlight of our visit to Vancouver!!

A wok around Chinatown with Chef Bob was a highlight of our trip to Vancouver. It was fascinating history and DELICIOUS with a variety of dishes and desserts served. You will not leave hungry! Chef Bob is passionate about Vancouver, the Chinese culture in Canada and BC and, Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend this tour.

Informative, fun and plenty of food. Tom was an excellent tour guide and knew the area well. I would gladly do another tour with this company.

This was a wonderful way to learn about Chinese influence and tradition in Vancouver. Bob greeted us at the garden where he introduced himself and then passed it off to our tour guide Thomas. Thomas was excellent. He was informative, funny, and easy to listen to and talk to. The food items were AMAZING and generous. Previous food tours I’ve experienced offered only small portions of items. These were full servings with a complete diim sum experience at the end. The tea tasting was my favorite part of the tour. Although each part was special. The entire tour was four hours which flew by. Truly I could have spent another four hours learning and listening to Thomas. This is a must see if you visit Vancouver.
