Ella Tea Making Experience Tour med smagning og snacks

The tea tour was a lot of fun. Everyone who came was from a different part of the world, and we all got along quickly. The tour guide showed us how to pick tea, which we did, and how to process it. After, we all got to try different types of tea, with amazing Sri Lanka snacks. We would give this a 5, but the road was dug up on the way there, and we had to get out and walk the rest of the way. It was a long difficult walk, on a beat up dirt road. We had no way of knowing where we were supposed to go. Not a god start for the tour.

The experience was great and informative. We were allowed to pick tea leaves ourselves, and afterwards we were introduced to the tea preparation process. A tea tasting followed, and we were even able to try the tea we had picked ourselves. The snacks that were provided were very delicious and local. There were even more snacks than I had expected. Overall, it lasted 2 hours. There was no pickup. We had to organize the round-trip transportation ourselves (the venue is approximately 2 km from the center).

We had such an amazing tea making tour and tasting with Apoorwa! She gave us so much information about Sri Lankan tea and took us through each tea, how it’s made and then we got to taste all of them with delicious treats. Thank you so much Apoorwa for a great experience!

The best experience, authentic tea farm. It was nice to see the entire process start to finish, and actually drink at the end your picked product. Lots of delicious food, 6 or 7 types of tea including white tea which was a first.

Local, family run. Very informative, friendly and fun. A lovely experience. Would recommend to any couple, family or solo traveller. The Sri Lankan snacks were a great bonus.

Very nice tour and we had a lot of fun harvesting and making our own tea in the workshop. Fazil was really nice and teached us all about tea and the process of making it. Definitely worth a visit!
