A lovely hike from a knowledgeable guide! It was a great way to see a lesser-known village and hike. The hike itself was primarily flat with a few steep areas. We were out of breath a couple times, but it by no means requires lots of athleticism. The perfect way to see some beautiful views while getting some activity in.
Alfonso was a great guide and the small group experience made it all the nicer. Easy to find the meeting spot. Worth the money.
Thanks for booking with us on MALAGAACTIVATOURS.
Amazing trip! Best choice if you want to spend day in nature surrounded by amazing views. Recommend 100%!
Thank you for booking with MALAGA ACTIVA TOURS
This was one of my favourite hikes ever! Loved visiting the village, the farm, and the local people! Alphonso was the best guide..so knowledgeable and just the right pace! The views and the countryside are breathtaking.
Thank you Pam for the nice review and for coming with MALAGAACTIVATOURS.COM
We left it was raining. It continued to rain. The streets were like rivers. Get to the top of the town and then cancels. Should have canceled before it started. Cost me 30 euros by taxi just to the meeting point. I wish it was sunny so no idea if it was good or bad hike.
yes...it was a dissapointment for everyone but we can not be sure about the weather conditions when we do outdoors activities. We have 300 days of sun a year in Malaga and most of the times the forecast says it can rain, it does not. Every passanger was refunded and at least they could visit the town for free.
This was a great vacation experience! I was part of a small group including hikers from Romania and Brazil. We had wonderful conversations, learning about each other and our countries—an unexpected bonus! We hiked up through a white city with Alphonso providing the history of the area and its agriculture. We then followed the path of an ancient aqueduct back into the mountains. Alphonso was knowledgeable of the flora, fauna and geology. It was a great hike to a mountain waterfall and swimming hole, where a picnic was provided. I highly recommend this hike and any other by Malaga Activa!
Thank you Becky for the review. Malagaactivatours.com
This was a fantastic tour in every way! Alfonso was knowledgeable of the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area. From walking through the white city to hiking up the canyon, the scenery was breathtaking. Alfonso introduced us to wild herbs and mountain goats, wHike tending the needs of the each in the group. We had a very international group, which was in itself a rich experience to share stories and get to know one another while on our trek. I highly recommend all of Malaga Activa’s tours snd look forward to returning for another. Becky
We booked the El Saltillo trip for a friends birthday (3 of us) as a surprise. The trip was cancelled with <24 hours notice (after we had to message the host to see if it was running), due to not having the minimum number of people (6), there was no mention of this being a possibility on the website. One star for a prompt refund being given but very disappointed given the lack of communication and the stress this has caused with having to replan with such little notice.
After two hiking trails in Granada, this was the first through Malaga. He may not have the renown of the King's Little Way, but there is nothing to envy him. The town of Canillas has the charm of that town that seems to have stopped in time, the journey is affordable for everyone (and that a server is not a great sportsman and some vertigo I have) and the icing on the cake is the river, where we had a small picnic. Alfonso, our guide, more than proved that he is an experienced and very communicative guide. I would recommend the experience without hesitation.
What a spectacular place to visit! The views are breathtaking & the hike into the canyon is brilliant. We were kept informed about the area & history from our guide. Some parts are a little bit scary if you suffer from vertigo but our guide was very patient & gave clear advice throughout. This is an amazing hike.
