Undslip byens travlhed og nyd en afslappet dag med at udforske Cava & Chocolate, en værdsat lokal tradition kun 45 minutter fra Barcelona i Penedès vinregionen. Ved ankomsten til Sant Sadurní, duften af kakao hilser os i denne charmerende by, hjemsted for Cataloniens fineste chokolade og Cava. En kort gåtur bringer os til en historisk, familiedrevet vingård, der fremstiller premium økologisk Cava. Vi vil besøge kælderne, være vidne til produktionstrin og smage forskellige vintage i en fredelig gårdhave. Lunsj indeholder en 4-retters sæsonbestemt menu med vin på en fremragende landsbyrestaurant. Efterfølgende besøger vi en 175 år gammel chokoladefabrik for en sensorisk rejse gennem chokoladens historie og smag. Vi vender tilbage til Barcelona sent på eftermiddagen, beriget af smag, historier og landskaber af en virkelig autentisk catalansk oplevelse, der blander tradition, håndværk og kulinarisk glæde i en uforglemmelig dag. Vi tager toget fra Catalunya Square. Rejsetiden er ca. 60 minutter i et luftkonditioneret tog. For os er toget det mest bæredygtige transportmiddel i Spanien. Det er sikkert og bekvemt.
En tur gennem den maleriske by Sant Sadurní d’Anoia afslører charmerende smalle gader, maleriske pladser og en fredelig atmosfære fyldt med catalansk tradition. Omgivet af rullende vinmarker, byens tilbyder en perfekt blanding af historie, lokal kultur, og småby varme.
Vi besøger en familiedrevet, traditionel Cava-producent, hvor vi lærer alt om Cava-fremstilling, og vi får en omfattende smagning af flere af deres økologiske Cavas.
Til frokost vil vi gå til en fremragende restaurant i landsbyen, hvor der vil være en 4-retters menu med en halv flaske vin pr. person inkluderet. Siden 1999 har restauranten tilbudt markedsbaserede retter, der fremhæver sæsonbestemte råvarer på deres højdepunkt. Deres moderne og kreative retter blander innovation med tradition, ved hjælp af nye teknikker for at bevare essensen af hver ingrediens, alt sammen med et engagement i kvalitet, ydmyghed og udholdenhed.
Vi besøger den lokale chokoladefabrik, der har lavet udsøgt chokolade i mere end 100 år. Vi lærer om oprindelsen og produktionen og har en overflod af chokolade at smage.
Vi tager toget tilbage til udgangspunktet i Barcelona. Togturen tager ca. 60 minutter.

Small group, intimate, friendly, professional. This adventure was one of our trip highlights. Everything about this trip is excellent - the village is both fun and pretty, the chocolate factory fabulous as was the Cava experience. The lunch is optional and of high quality, and I strongly recommend it. In all this day was fantastic. And let me tell you that lots of things that were outside of the tour organiser's control chose that day to go wrong. And Christian & Michael worked tirelessly to make the day magical and fun despite the universe conspiring otherwise. Everyone was laughing and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you so much for this adventure - we loved it!

We had an absolutely amazing time during this tour! Michael was very knowledgeable and everyone we met was very friendly. The chocolate tour was incredible, we got to see the different parts of the chocolate making process and taste the different parts of the coco bean and chocolate derivatives. The cava tour was at a local family run winery and we got to see old cellars and taste delicious types of cava. I would highly recommend anyone considering to book with them. They were very flexible when the train was unavailable and picked us up by car. 10/10!

We had a lovely day with Michael in the countryside outside Barcelona. The tour was very intimate (the four members of my family) and educational. The tour took place in a quiet countryside town, which was a welcome break from Barcelona. Michael connected with all the ages and personalities in my family. We made a quick stop for a Cava tasting outside the train stop then on to the chocolate tour, which was very delicious. Then had a great lunch at a local restaurant. It was a set menu with many different options for a starter, main, and, dessert. Between the four of us we tried most of the options and everything was tasty. Then on to the main event the boutique Cava winery. Michael had full access to the grounds and we saw many unique and interesting behind the scenes facts you will not see on other tours. We tried multiple Cava, including a rose’. We met the owner as he was putting labels on some special bottles and took pictures with him. Michael was also very helpful giving recommendations we reached out to him after the tour and he was very responsive with our inquiries regarding good places to eat. We hope to see Michael again in Barcelona or Amsterdam where he also has tours. Highly recommend this tour company.

Amazing tour to the birth place of the sparkling wine. You visit the factory of Freixenette and a wonderful small winery and get to taste delicious Cava. The guide Christian is knowledgeable and charming. A wonderful day in the spanish countryside outside of Bercelona.

This is fun. Michael & Christian, first-rate guides, take you to a magical village one hour from Barcelona to enjoy some of the world's best chocolate and cava in the place where they are made. If you choose, you can also enjoy a world class luncheon (extra charge is worth it). What better way to spend your day?

Have you always wanted to roam the wine cellar of a winegrower in private? Find out more on the spot? Have a friend with you who can explain what you have seen? Who will open every door in the deep cellar and show you all the secrets of the production of a real cava? And to top it all off, opens the bottles you've just seen under shady trees in a gentle breeze and hands them to you to taste? Then you should definitely get in touch with Christian and Michael. We will never forget this remarkable day in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. A typical Spanish lunch is served in a restaurant where only locals eat. Highly recommended. The chocolate factory introduced us to the secrets of the history and production of this sweet temptation. Here, of course, there is a point deduction for the chocolate; as a Swiss, one is naturally ( )prejudiced and/or ( )patriotically biased here [please tick the appropriate box, multiple answers are possible]. However, the tour can always be fully recommended as the highlight of a stay in Barcelona.

It was a great tour. Michael was the best guide I have had on any tour (been traveling for 3 months - lots of tours). He got to know us and adjusted the tour enroute. Every part of the tour was excellent. The chocolate factory, lunch, and especially the Cava winery seemed to be far from touristy and very authentic.
