Mens du rejser til Armenien, er du måske bare interesseret i at se verdens første kristne katedralkirke. Echmiadzin anses for at være det åndelige centrum for alle armeniere over hele verden! Selve ordet betyder et sted, hvor "Guds enbårne søn steg ned".

St. Hripsime kirke, som blev bygget på graven af en kristen nonne Hripsime, der flygtede fra Romerriget og blev dræbt i Armenien. Denne fantastiske bygning har stået oprejst siden dens opførelse siden 618 e.Kr., hvilket gør den til en af de ældste stående kirker i verden.
5 minutters kørsel væk er det næste stop: St. Gayane-kirken fra det 7. århundrede. Gayane var barnepige for Hripsime og delte Hripsimes tragiske skæbne.
Du vil være i stand til at observere verdens første kristne katedral - den hellige Ejmiatsin, bygget i 301-304. Ifølge legenden faldt Jesus Kristus ned på samme sted, hvor Dissention Altar står i dag, hvor Gregory Illuminator beordrede at bygge kirken. Katedralen er et symbol på den armenske nationale identitet og arv, hvilket afspejler landets dybt forankrede kristne tradition.
Zvartnots katedral, nu i ruiner, er en centralt planlagt tetraconch type armensk katedral bygget af ordenen af Catholicos Nerses bygherren fra 643-652. Ifølge legenden betyder navnet "Zvartnots" "himmelske engle", inspireret af troen på, at engle engang overvågede templet. Den er optaget på UNESCOs liste over kulturarv. Faktisk er alle de kirker, der er inkluderet i turen, opført på UNESCO's verdens kulturarv.

This tour was amazing. My wife and I opted for the private tour and had just the driver. The tour was really well organised. We had a minor issue locating the vehicle and driver in the morning (to be expected as we were being picked up from a very busy location with heavy traffic) and the staff were quick to help and sort everything out. They were diligent, friendly and efficient. The tour was spectacular with the most amazing sights. The driver, was very professional, cordial and considerate. We ordered vegan food for lunch and were really impressed and touched by the fact that he ordered the same for himself out of consideration for us! Worth mentioning that we had (unfortunately) pre booked another tour with a different provider and we had a very different experience. If we hadn’t pre booked the other tour in advance, we would have chosen Yerani again. Thank you for a most wonderful day!

Everything was great -- pickup from our hotel, the tour itself and then drop off where we requested. The tour conducted by the guide, plus there is also a car driver, so guide's full attention is on you. We really enjoyed the tour and recommend it to everybody, who visits Yerevan for a few days.

We loved the tour. We booked an English speaking driver but Gor, our guide could speak Spanish and did the whole tour in Spanish!!! He also speaks Portuguese. The driver and the car where very good. For a price we added Lake Sevan, Dilijan and fabulous Monasteries. Really worth it. Thanks.
Everything went very well, despite the heat, with enough time to see everything. Very good driver, Karen; Although he didn't speak English, we had no problems understanding him.

We are a couple from Italy and we had 3 private tours with Yerani Travel around Armenia with the fantastic guide Hasmik and the drivers Karen (this one and other two tours in Southern Armenia) . They were very kind. Hasmik really took care of us. She is extremely empathic and professional. The explanations were complete and exhaustive. The lunches were excellent, too (one of us needs to eat gluten free and this has not been a problem). Everything was as we expected. We absolutely suggest!
