E-cykel i baggrunden af Cascais og Sintra

Having never ridden an ebike, I wasn't sure what to expect. To make matters more interesting, I have my 10 yo daughter who isn't the greatest yet at riding a bike, so we used a tandem. For the most part, it was enjoyable driving through different geographies and landscapes. Don't be fooled, the first half of the day is mostly uphill as your riding to the highest point in Sintra. I haven't rode a bike in 20 years and I don't exercise often aside from golf. I'm 50. It would have been easier on me if if I wasn't also pulling the tandem bike. Yes, the peddle assist helps, but it doesn't turn the bike into a scooter. The second half was the exact opposite... All downhill through forests and on a winding public highway with tremendous views. It was more dangerous than I thought it would be at some points. I would still do it again knowing ahead of time that the first half would be work. Overall, very memorable.

There was clear communication with Rodrigo our contact. When we arrived we met Antonio our guide. He was knowledgeable, patient and super helpful throughout the whole tour. We got to see some beautiful views if cascais and would highly recommend this tour. It was a moderate workout so be prepared to exercise a bit even with the electric power engaged.

Great experience exploring by bike with my husband and two active college kids. Their feedback: “Best experience ever!” Be prepared for a mix of terrain, from smooth roads to gravel. Juliano was a wonderful tour guide and made the experience even more memorable!

We had a great time on the bike tour! The electric bikes were easy to use (even for someone like me who never used one before). Our 3 teens had a blast! You may want to be sure you have a basic fitness level and you are comfortable on a bike. A few of the down hills were a little steep. The views and nature were amazing! Lots of places we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Great day out. Juliano was a good guide. Friendly and helpful and chose a good route to see the mountains and sea side with a good little restaurant for lunch. Excellent and well maintained bikes. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing tour. Up the mountains for incredible views. Down to the beachside and Cliffs for gorgeous Vistas. We absolutely loved this ride. Bikes were in great shape. Nice seaside lunch spot.

Am awesome trip on varied terrain along the coast and in the mountains. Travelled on trails and bike paths must of the time. We are in our mid 60's and the bikes worked great and had sufficient power to get through any part of the trip. Beautiful views. The guide was awesome and very knowledgeable and the area. Nice lunch so along the coast.

We had Juliano as our bike guide. He was so amazing, knowledgeable, and kind. The experience was wonderful. They provided helmets as well as water. I would recommend bringing sunglasses and sunscreen in a fanny pack. This tour is most ideal for someone who is somewhat athletic. Overall, my brother and I had an absolute ball!

The bike ride we did was absolutely worth it and one of the highlights of our trip. The route took about 5 hours with a few short stops along the way plus a lunch break, and the scenery constantly changed — charming towns, mountains, ocean views, and beautiful farmland all in one ride. The views were incredible throughout. Our guide, Juliano, was amazing: attentive, accommodating, helpful, and made the entire experience feel smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. I would say it requires a moderate level of fitness, but the pace and stops made it very manageable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the area in a unique and memorable way.

3 stars for scenery and bikes. Our guide was ok. Didn’t tell us history or detail of what we were seeing, but friendly and did answer questions when asked. Minus 2 stars for inaccurate description of ride. This is not a “relaxed e-bike ride” as in other cities. It is an e mountain bike ride. First 1.5 hrs of ride is uphill mostly unpaved, gravel and rock roads with holes, uneven cobblestones, metal grates, a part where you need to walk bike uphill and lift over gates (guide does the lifting), and a short single track portion. This is for riders with some e mountain bike or road bike experience. A relaxed e-bike ride would start at the visitor center after that part and be mostly paved roads. That part was good and could be done by any level of experience or fitness. The first 1.5 hours is not good for inexperienced bike riders. I’d suggest renaming this tour “e-mountain bike ride” and leave it at that.
