Correspondence Worst

First, you can complete the reservation by specifying the time on the website. I arrived at 10:00 on the day of the reservation but found out that the library was closed in the morning and open at 13:00 on the day of the reservation. The reservation company said it was full last minute? So I received an email asking me to change my time. He was forced to pay a fee for the same day's flight to change the flight time and request a change in the reservation time. I passed three hours until the store opened and went to the counter, but there was a request to show a QR code. There is only a barcode on hand, there is no QR code, it is adjusted with the operator, but there is a reply that you need to download it yourself. Credit card payment at the counter as there is no reply to the email or URL. I eventually received a QR code email around 17:00 on the day. There's nothing but frustration in the first place, either because of poor checking of opening times or because of poor response to same-day time changes.

Very poor experience - wasted e-ticket, not accepted at the site, resulting in extra expense for a new ticket.

The e-ticket sent by Viator lacked a valid QR code and was not accepted at the Museum ticket office. As a result, I had to buy a new ticket and would like Viator to reimburse me for the poor experience.

You cannot leave Crete without a dip in its history

Booking online is certainly a great way to skip the line at the ticket office and the audio guide on your smartphone was invaluable to see and understand the exhibits on display

Pointless

So i bought this for both of us .the audio only worked on one device which is poor. If its not compatible with apple devices dont sell.it to people.. also frankly pay at the museum door fkr half the price and use their app and audio .

Beautiful museum, small but well designed, beautiful rooms, beautiful rooms of Crete , a beautiful discovery for history lovers.

Worth the money and time

Nice place, well organized, easily found in the city centre. The audio tour skips over many displays but that's okay, there are so many items that a full audio tour would take days. Staff is helpful.

Not to be missed

I am passionate about Egyptian and Aegean archaeology and I did a particular study [for the thesis] on the relationship between the two Civilizations in a given historical period. If you feel like it, also read my reviews on the Palaces of Knossos and Festos. As for this Museum I could bore you for a long time [I visited it at least 4 times]. May I only suggest you do not miss it if you come to Heraklion. Here you will find artefacts of unique beauty: from the taurocatapsia fresco (remember? The young man jumping on the bull's horns), the mysterious Disco of Festos, the elegant Bees of Mallia, the equally elegant and famous rython in the form of a bull's head, the Sarcophagus of Hagia Triada. Perhaps many of these things are little known, but after you have admired them we will never forget them, believe me!!

A great rise in Minoean history.

Beautiful Collections, a model of the Palace of Knossos and a beautiful museum. In a pleasant atmosphere, the successions of rooms are well organized. The brochures in French and the inscriptions in French on the explanatory panels are missing. Too bad that Crete, being in Europe and welcoming so many French, does not make this effort.

Minoan culture

Unfortunately, “only” half of the exhibition space is currently accessible. Nevertheless, a worthwhile visit with outstanding artifacts of Minoan culture.

I was asked to pay twice.

Beware of third-party providers of the card on Tripadvisor: Clio Muse Tours Here I had real problems with the museum staff not being helpful. After an hour I gave up because I was supposed to pay twice.

It seems you may have presented the voucher from Tripadvisor at the entrance, which is not your entry ticket. Earlier in the day, you received an email with instructions on how to download both your ticket and the audio tour. When you reached out to our customer service, we immediately resent the link to download your entrance ticket and explained that the museum staff is not involved with our services, which is why they were unable to assist you. Our communication lasted nearly two hours, from 1:35 to 3:35, as we tried to guide you through the process. However, it appeared that our instructions were not followed. Please note that the product you purchased is non-refundable, as stated in its policy, and unfortunately, we are unable to offer a cancellation.
