E-Bike Historical Sunset Tour i Fort James

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to take a private adventure tour with Besto, Akilah, and Shaq. They were so fun and playful and we consider them our new Antiguan friends. The bikes were easy to operate and the guides all made sure you understood the workings. They took countless photos and videos plus drone footage. The only thing better than the outing will be all of the photos and videos from this special outing in Antigua.

TLDR: this tour is one of the best we have had. Amazing, highly trust worthy, worth the time and effort! We did the evening sunset tour to St James with Akilla, Shaquille and J. They were so kind and professional. Our group had one couple with e-bike experience and one couple who had hardly ridden much at all. They took the time to make sure everyone could ride their bikes well and understood the controls. The guides took photos and videos that they shared with us and chatted along the way. We learned lots of interesting things about the beaches, animals, plants and St James on the tour. We much preferred this to the car tour we had previously taken. We rode about 6.5 miles total. The great part about the e-bikes is that you can decide how hard you want to work. There was only one hill we had ride up each way and the highest level of the e-bikes handled it with ease. The oldest member of our group was in their 60’s and they handled it without a struggle. The one thing I would have done differently is remembered to apply bug spray. Near sunset the mosquitos came out and I am particularly allergic to them . They had not been bothering me much at the resort (where I’m sure they are spraying for them or treating irrigation water) but outside the resort at sunset was definitely an opportunity to get bit. All in all 5 stars (out of 5!) - if you’re considering going on this trip at all, you definitely should!

Our tour was arranged via Sandals and for some reason it ended up that only my wife and I showed. It worked out great! The two of us had the benefit of the company of 3 knowledgeable and friendly guides to ourselves. The tour took us through the local landscape out to Fort James. Along the way, we gained insights into the life, culture and history of Antigua and its inhabitants and we came back with a greater appreciation for both the country and people. We highly recommend anyone visiting this island with idyllic resorts to “step outside” with these fine guides to learn more and enjoy the views along the way.

Had a terrific experience. First time on E-bikes and our guides were great instructors, safety conscious and lots of fun. They took us on main roads and back roads and shared interesting cultural and historic information. The time flew by.

This was an amazing tour. It was all for my husband, Boise but I enjoyed it as well. The guys provided the best customer service. They made sure to have an E-bike that I was comfortable on. They were very patient while I figured things out. They watched traffic and gave direction. The historical information was amazing and the sunset was beautiful! Roy picked us up and provided great information to and from. Drey and the gentleman from New York( sorry can’t think of your name) All did an amazing job. Anyone going to Antigua must do one of the E-bike tours.

Nice ride and the guides shared great information on Antigua! Seeing the Old Fort was one of the highlights. Great way to get a little exercise and see some sites.

Amazing tour on electric bikes from Sandals to Fort James taking in a tour round the marshes - Fantastic, if you get a chance book it - you won't be disappointed.

This tour was amazing. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and make the experience that much better. 10/10 recommend!
