Øen Lokrum, vil vi besøge den største af Dubrovnik-hulerne, kaldet Pidgeon's Cave. Fort Lovrjenac ofte kaldet "Dubrovniks Gibraltar", er en fæstning og teater uden for den vestlige mur af byen Dubrovnik i Kroatien, 37 meter (121 fod) over havets overflade.[1] Berømt for sine skuespil og betydning for at modstå venetiansk styre, overskygger den de to indgange til byen, fra havet og til lands. Tidligt i det 11. århundrede forsøgte venetianerne at bygge et fort på det samme sted, hvor Fort Lovrijenac i øjeblikket står. Hvis det var lykkedes dem, ville de have holdt Dubrovnik under deres magt, men byens folk slog dem til det. "Ragusas krøniker" afslører, hvordan fortet blev bygget inden for blot tre måneder og fra da af konstant rekonstrueret. Da de venetianske skibe ankom, fulde af materialer til opførelsen af fortet, fik de besked på at vende tilbage til Venedig.
Dubrovniks mure er en række af defensive stenmure, der omgiver byen Dubrovnik. Volde blev bygget i de ydre områder af byen, herunder bjergskråningerne som en del af et sæt statuer fra 1272. De eksisterende bymure blev bygget hovedsageligt i løbet af det 13.-17. århundrede. Murene løber et uafbrudt forløb på cirka 1.940 meter (6.360 ft) i længden, der omkranser det meste af den gamle by, og når en maksimal højde på omkring 25 meter (82 ft)
Villa Sheherezade er beliggende i en eksklusiv beliggenhed i hjertet af Dubrovnik. Oprindeligt bygget i 1929 af den velhavende russiske jøde, Vilim Zimdin, til ære for sin mystiske elskerinde ved navn Sheherezade, som villaen fortsat er opkaldt efter.
Så tidligt som i det 14. århundrede, efter stigningen i smitsomme sygdomsepidemier, besluttede Dubrovnik-regeringen at bygge de første karantæner til at isolere rejsende og undersøge varer beregnet til distribution, og i 1590 begyndte byggeriet af Lazareti i Ploče og varede indtil 1642.

Beautiful views of the wall and island. Boat is well maintained and the young Captain was wonderful and very informative. If you are prone to sea sickness this adventure is not for you, the seas are choppy. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time on this sunset boat trip with Jakov/Jacob. It was such a lovely chilled experience with a friendly skipper who was very knowledgeable and took great care when the sea was choppy. We particularly enjoyed the music and the drinks were good too. All in all a fantastic experience and a great way to see this beautiful city/old town :)

Our skipper Mario was lovely. Prompt and professional. Hubby and I had the pleasure of a private sunset experience. Drinks were offered and we connected to the Bluetooth speaker and played some time tracks for 1.5hrs. Mari warned me that the waters were abit choppy due to the windy. I got sea sick towards the end of the cruise. The waters were wilder than I expected but a great experience none the less.
