Dubai: VIP Sunset Red Dune Safari, Camel Ride & BBQ Middag

An incredible experience, I recommend it 100% and the guide Ahmed is the best, it is an activity that you must do if you go to Dubai

Upgraded to a single car. Whole experience was excellent until we got to the final part of the day, the food. Buffet was awful. Made to wait an hour before the unlimited soft drink came in to play. Even then the choice was limited. Only Coke and water on offer. We could have got access to a better buffet and soft drinks straight away if we paid 50 AED each.

Booked the 4wd and dinner package with hotel pick-up. Our private driver Ahmed arrived on time and was lovely. Experience an awesome trip 4wd the sand dunes and then a short camel ride and stopped for dinner. They upselled the dinner to eat from a different buffet and earlier which we did as it was so cheap but there was alot of variety. The fire show was amazing. A definite must do whilst in Dubai.

Zafar, our safari guide, was absolutely amazing! We had such a wonderful time on our safari trip with him. He was friendly, helpful, and made the experience so much fun for both me and my daughter. A big thank you to Hassan for this great excursion! 😊 He was lovely, very attentive, and really took great care of us, especially the children. We loved crossing the dunes, riding camels, watching the show, and having dinner at the camp. A very beautiful experience, and Hassan really contributed to making it even more enjoyable. We participated in this safari with 3 people. The positive points: * Punctual and well-organized hotel pickup. * Excellent dune bashing in the Lehbab desert, clearly one of the best moments of the experience. * Pleasant sunset stop. * Evening shows well-organized and overall satisfactory. * General organization of the program correct. On the other hand, several negative points should be noted. The main problem concerns the return trip. The driving was repeatedly very unprofessional and sometimes dangerous. Some speed limits did not seem to be respected and the driver performed abrupt and imprudent maneuvers on the highway. Sometimes we felt like he was driving on the road as if he were in the dunes, with reflexes adapted to sand but absolutely not to normal highway driving. This behavior was particularly worrying and constitutes for us the main negative point of this excursion. Regarding the buffet, we were also very disappointed. The quality of the food was really insufficient and some drinks had a very altered taste, clearly giving the impression that they were no longer fresh. It is a shame for an activity that includes dinner in its offer. Finally, the guide was very uncommunicative and lacked courtesy. He did strictly the minimum and did not seem particularly concerned about the guests' experience. We perfectly understand that this is a standard package and not a VIP service, but that does not justify a lack of courtesy, availability, or kindness. In summary: the dune bashing, the shows, and the punctuality were real positive points. Unfortunately, the drive back, the quality of the buffet, and the guide's attitude significantly degraded our overall experience. We were not expecting VIP service since we had booked a standard package, but simply professional and safe driving, a buffet of decent quality, and a minimum of courtesy toward the guests.

A good tour but be prepared for the Heat! We missed the sunset photo opportunity but otherwise it was great. Dune bashing a wonderful thrill. Would recommend this attraction.

We joined this sunset desert safari during our time in Dubai and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. I think it is a good choice for anyone visiting Dubai for the first time who wants to experience the desert without having to organize the driving and activities separately. The dune bashing was definitely the most adventurous part of the trip. The driver handled the dunes confidently, and there were some exciting climbs and drops along the way. If you are prone to motion sickness, I would recommend eating lightly beforehand and letting the driver know. We stopped in the desert around sunset, which was probably my favorite part of the experience. The red dunes looked especially beautiful in the evening light, and having some time outside the vehicle to walk around and take photos made the stop feel less rushed. The camel ride was fun, although it was quite short, so I would treat it as a small part of the experience rather than the main attraction. The evening finished with the BBQ dinner and entertainment. The camp was fairly busy, but the atmosphere was lively and it was a relaxing way to finish the day. For this kind of desert experience, I personally prefer going with an organized 4x4 tour rather than trying to drive into the dunes independently. Desert driving is very different from normal road trips and having an experienced driver makes the experience much easier. Transportation: Hotel pickup and drop-off in a 4x4 vehicle. Duration: I would allow around 6–7 hours for the complete experience, including transfers.
