Dubai: Private Night Vintage Land Rover Safari og Astronomi

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Platinum Heritage Safari in Dubai. From the moment we booked, the attention to detail and care from the entire team was exceptional; they truly go above and beyond. Our guide, Noman, was outstanding: incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and funny, and he also doubled as an amazing photographer who captured beautiful moments for us throughout the day. He made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and special. Every detail felt thoughtful and authentic, A highlight was the surprise birthday celebration they arranged for my husband, it was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening even more memorable. This was hands-down one of the best experiences we had in Dubai, and we cannot recommend Platinum Heritage, and Noman, highly enough.

A trip my family and I enjoyed from the moment we left the hotel until we returned. Mr. Duncan was an excellent tour guide — he carried a spirit of great manners, a wealth of knowledge, a beautiful English accent, and a clean, elegant appearance. We started the journey with him as a guide… and ended it with him as a friend and a teacher.

We had the most unforgettable experience on our private night safari with Platinum Heritage, thanks entirely to our incredible guide, Duncan. From the moment we met him, it was clear how deeply knowledgeable he is about every creature that calls the desert home. His passion is infectious! Our walk through the dunes was a real highlight; we were lucky enough to spot both black and brown scorpions, and Duncan explained their behaviours and adaptations with such enthusiasm that it made the sightings even more thrilling. After our walk, we enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner set right in the desert. The atmosphere was magical, and the meal was beautifully done. Then came an astronomy session that completely blew us away. Duncan’s knowledge of the night sky is truly impressive; he guided us through constellations, planets, and stories of the cosmos with such clarity and excitement that we could have listened for hours. What an amazing experience from start to finish. Duncan made the night extraordinary, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly!

From pick up to drop off we had a fantastic experience. Our guide Jovan was a truly excellent host and a master of his subject. He picked us up promptly and navigated us to the desert reserve quickly and safely, pointing out sights of interest along the way. His passion for nature and conservation was clear. On the nighttime desert drive and walk we spotted wildlife large and small; a thoroughly educational and enjoyable experience. Back at the camp our private experience continued as on that particular night we had the place to ourselves which was unexpected. The owl flying was great fun for both of us. As vegetarians we set our expectations fairly low on organised tours. Not so here! The chef is to be commended, producing large variety of dishes that would do a top restaurant proud, and in quantities that would feed a small army. The highlight of the night was the astronomy. As experienced astronomers ourselves, Jovan delivered a great tour of the skies, fantastic views through a large telescope and interesting discussions covering mythology, astrophysics and astronomical equipment. All in all this was one of the best organised tours we have enjoyed and highly recommended. Jovan and the whole team really made it an unforgettable experience.

What a special night in a beautiful environment! Our group of six truly enjoyed our time and experience last night. We were picked up at our hotel in two brand new Defenders (very comfortable) and driven about one hour outside of the city to your camps. Both drivers were very friendly and informative. We learned a lot about Dubai and your various camp offerings. We arrived at our camp experience and were treated to coffee and dates, along with fresh juice. A lovely camp and soothing live music greeted us! We took our shoes off and we all marveled at the cool and silly soft sand on our feet. We set our belongings in the dining room and went outside to have the amazing opportunity to interact with a falcon and an owl, which was very cool. We were able to have them sit on our arms and fly to us, in the case of the owl. Afterward, we were served our wonderful many-course dinner, which we all enjoyed. We had seared tuna, duck, lobster bisque, steak, chicken and more. After we ate, the women had henna tattoos, which we loved. To end this wonderful evening, we had an aerial and fire show, followed by a star gazing lesson. After we ate our final course of food (dessert), we were taken safely back to our hotels. We all highly recommend this experience!

We had the best time in Dubai with Platinum Heritage! We had an idea of what the day would look like but we were so surprised to feel so special as we celebrated our 25th Anniversary on this adventure. From our guide Nazir, flowers, performances, food and the team that cared to make sure we had the best time; first class! The camp was beautiful and the photographers do a fabulous job capturing every moment. They have so much more to offer, we can’t wait to come back for another adventure in the future!

Amazing experiences ! It may be a bit pricy, but definitely worth the money if you are first-timer in the desert and wish to learn /love the desert as it is. The tour is unique, fun and yet educational. Jovan our guide is awesome and knowledgeable. In land rover, we were driven into the desert, walked in the desert to seek for night creatures, had a sumptuous dinner in the Bedouin camp and unique owl performances. The best is reserved for the last - the Stargazing session. We learnt a lot from Jovan in this short astronomy sessions. Lucky enough, the sky was clear and we spotted Mars, Jupiter, Orion's belt, Moon in almost total darkness. A thumb-up for this tour and guide !

We had a fantastic time with Jovan. He’s very knowledgeable and yet so humble. Never seen so many stars in my life. Do check the weather for clear skies before booking. Desert night safari and the owl show were fun although we didn’t see a lot of wildlife apart from some gazelles and the occasional gerbil. Probably because it was winter. Dinner under the stars was great - we had chicken and mousaka and the servings were more than generous. The main highlight was definitely the star gazing. Highly recommended. It can get nippy at night so do be sure to be prepared with some warm clothing. We were given blankets on our way out of the camp while riding the jeep! 😀

This tour was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Jovan, was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and accommodating! We got a surprisingly high class dinner at a luxury Oasis with an interactive owl training show. I would recommend this tour any time.

We were picked up by Jovan... Very jovial person and knows a lot about his work, about the desert and astronomy... He and all others in the camp took very good care of us and the experience was our of the world... This was clearly the highlight of our trip. The owl interaction, nocturnal walk, stargazing and the food were all top notch... Loved it. Our daughter can't stop raving about it... Very highly recommended if you like nature.
