Diyaluma Falls er 220 m (720 ft) højt og det næsthøjeste vandfald i Sri Lanka og det 361. højeste vandfald i verden. Det ligger 6 km (3,7 mi) væk fra Koslanda i Badulla-distriktet på Colombo-Badulla motorvejen. Vandfaldene er dannet af Punagala Oya, en biflod til Kuda Oya, som igen er en biflod til Kirindi Oya. På singalesisk betyder Diyaluma eller Diya Haluma "hurtig strøm af vand" eller kan oversættes som "flydende lys". Ifølge den srilankanske historiker, Dr. R. L. Brohier, er Diyaluma rammen om folkloren om en tragedie, der involverer en ung høvding, der var blevet forvist til højlandet, og hans forlovedes forsøg på at deltage. Great day
That activity was so worth it! ❤️ We loved the falls and the places were we could swing in those water! Our Guide was amazing! He spoke very well English and had a lot of knowledge! We had a lot of fun with him!

Heaven on Earth - Best Natural Pool Bath Ever
Diyaluma Waterfall was the highlight of our trip to Ella. The hike was worth every step because the view at the top is unreal. The natural pool is crystal clear, cool, and perfect for swimming while looking over the entire valley. Bathing right under the waterfall felt so refreshing and peaceful. The guides were super helpful and made sure we stayed safe. If you love nature and a little adventure, this is a must-do in Sri Lanka. 10/10 would do it again.

Safe and Enjoyable Diyaluma Waterfall Experience
I visited Diyaluma Waterfall with a group of friends, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The waterfall was beautiful, and the surrounding scenery made the trip even more enjoyable. We had a great time exploring the area, taking photos, and enjoying the fresh atmosphere. Wonderful Family Day at Diyaluma Waterfall
We visited Diyaluma Waterfall with our family and had a truly wonderful experience. The views were stunning, and the natural beauty of the area made the trip very special. Amazing Diyaluma Waterfall Adventure

Incredible experience
We had the most amazing day at the waterfall! Our guide Dila was so friendly, helpful and informative. He stopped along the way to show us pepper and coffee growing on the side of the road, along with the rubber trees. The waterfall itself is unbelievably beautiful and swimming our way down through the different pools was so much fun. Dila took lots of photos for us as well so we could just enjoy ourselves. It's a must do if you are staying in Ella. 10/10

Diyaluna Falls
We reached the base of the falls on our motorbike, (about an hour ride from Ella) and while searching for a parking spot, we were fortunate to meet Saman, who offered to guide us. He led us a bit further up the road, following him on his bike, to the best place to begin our hike, storing our jackets and helmets safely away so we wouldn't have to carry them. The trek was manageable, even in the heat of the late morning and Saman shared his impressive knowledge of local wildlife and fauna along the way. Conversation was easy and he has a great sense of humor. The falls themselves were stunning, undoubtedly the highlight of our Sri Lankan adventure so far. We took our time swimming, jumping, and sliding down the various levels of the falls, it’s quite easy to make a whole day of the trip. The final level offered spectacular views looking out over the last fall. Equally as impressive is the view looking back up the falls. Saman helped us to make the most of our visit to Diyaluna Falls and we would highly recommend him as a guide. His number is +94787784560

Nice trip to waterfalls
We had really good time, went to Diyaluma waterfall, Ravana waterfall and New Budha temple. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed a lot. Dila was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Amazing Views and Great Weather
The views at the falls were amazing, and we went during slow season so me and my friend could enjoy almost all the pools by ourselves, and the weather is perfect for an early morning tour.
The drive was around 1hr each way, but the views there were so nice and we stopped to take plenty of photos.
They were very flexible with us and agreed to come at 9am, instead of 8am as agreed.
