Oplev Montpellier ubesværet: med cykeltaxa (privat tur)

We booked this last minute and had a wonderful experience. We met our guide at an easy to find location, she was very friendly and it was clear to see she was passionate about Montpellier and it’s amazing history. The tour lasted just over an hour, we got to hear things about the famous sights that we wouldn’t have known if we had walked around by ourselves, even with a bit of Google research. Our guide showed us other little hidden details about the city that was so interesting and it gave us a real flavour of this brilliant city! We had plenty of opportunities to take photos of the famous sights, along with commentary in our own language (English). We can not recommend this experience enough, we were really excited to visit Montpellier and this complemented our visit 💯

The bike taxi was a perfect way to see all the historical sites of Montpellier in the middle of a heat wave in Europe. Natalie was an excellent driver and a very knowledgeable guide. She took us around the narrow cobblestoned streets of Montpellier to most of the iconic and historic sites. One of the highlights for me was the visit to the faculty of medicine, one of the oldest medical schools in the world and the oldest in France. The Cathedral St. Pierre and Botanic Gardens, which are part of the medical school as the place of faith for doctors and growing of pharmaceutical plants are very appropriate. She described the significance of many buildings including the one of the old department of surgery, where the cadavers were dissected, and why the windows were closed off in some buildings (people were taxed based on the number of windows in the past) was very interesting. I would highly recommend this effortless ride when visiting Montpellier.

We enjoyed a relaxing tour through Montpellier with a few stops for photographs. And our guide adapted the route for us to end at the market under the aqueduct which was much appreciated. Would recommend.

This tour provides a good introduction to Montpellier. During this tour, I learned about various interesting and historical aspects of the city, including the reasons behind certain architectural designs and details. In addition, I received guidance regarding which attractions are closed on Mondays, which should be reserved through the tourism office, and the areas where the locals go to eat. There will be opportunities to take photographs while at certain attractions. We spent a little extra time at some locations, which gives you the chance to temporarily leave the velo taxi to get a closer look and/or take photos. Nathalie was professional and communicated very well before and during the experience. Thank you for making this such a pleasant and educational tour.

A very good tour of Montpellier, we were showed lots of gems that we would never had found on our own. Definitely an hour well spent, thank you very much.
