Dingle by og den smukke Dingle halvø. Når vi forlader Killarney, passerer vi gennem landsbyen Castlemaine, hjemsted for Wild Colonial Boy, en bushranger i det tidlige koloniale Australien. Nyd udsigten over den verdensberømte tommerstrand og se de atlantiske bølger, der foretrækkes af surfere, så er det videre til Dingle by for en kop kaffe, en tur rundt for at shoppe og se sightseeing. Så tager vi en tur rundt på halvøen, stopper ved Aidans fårefarm og ser åbningsscenen til filmen Far and Away med Tom Cruise og Nicole Kidman med hovedrollen, så stopper vi hvor du vil, måske Blasket Island-centret, Louis Mulcahy-keramik, Clogher-stranden med en fantastisk udsigt over det vilde Atlanterhav, eller måske Gallarus Oratory, en kirke fra det sjette århundrede lavet udelukkende af sten, der ligner en opadvendt båd. Så er vi tilbage til Dingle for et kig på de lokale pubber og nogle forfriskninger. Uanset hvad du ønsker vil jeg designe dagen omkring det, du gerne vil lave. Ankommer i Dingle by fra Killarney, vi vil have en kaffe, tage en tur rundt Dingle, lave lidt shopping, så går vi og kører rundt om den verdensberømte Dingle Peninsula. Vi vil stoppe for at møde Aidan, en lokal fårbonde, om foråret og sommeren er der normalt lam til at holde og fodre. Aidan har gamle Bee Hive hytter på landet, 2000 år gamle irske bosættelse. Vi fortsætter med at tur rundt om halvøen, stopper for billeder og på nogle interessante punkter. Så går vi tilbage til Dingle til et måltid, lidt mere sightseeing og måske en øl!

My mom and I had a beautiful day touring Dingle! Our driver, Joe, had a wonderful full day itinerary for us which included a stop at the Torc waterfall, Inch beach, a few stops along Slea head, the lambs (per my mom’s request!) and at a lovely cafe in Dingle for some tea and delicious scones. Joe was very knowledgeable and ensured we had a great time.

So glad we chose this trip. Neither of us like driving so this was perfect. We stopped at a BEEHIVE hut and Dingle town...such amazing views! The driver Joe was so kind and helpful, He explained things and told us of history. We were behind a bus on the narrow road and a car had to back up which took a while but gave us some spectacular views!

The Dingle Peninsula was a spectacular day tour, especially with our driver Joseph Long. We saw many beautiful sites and still had time for lunch, quaint breaks & shopping!

Fantastic drive around Slea Head and the Dingle Peninsula with knowledgeable commentary on the history (modern and ancient), cultural and political contexts, and key figures related to the area. We really enjoyed our day thoroughly and while I've driven the Dingle Peninsula several times over the years, it was a refreshing experience to sit back and relish the views while someone else took the wheel. Pick up was straightforward. Communication was clear and responsive. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun with a good sense of humor. Very personable guy whose conversation made the spectacular scenery and sights of the day even more enjoyable!
