Katarina was a great guide, informative and personable. We learned a lot about the history of Devin. The pickup went smoothly and was convenient to our river ship. And the wine tasting was a nice ending to the tour
Super guide, who was a great storyteller and knew the answer Ronald of our questions. Only thing pulling down is realising that we paid about 8x the prize compared to if we had done the trip on our own. A premium prize for convenience and a super guide is understandable, but this was too much
Our trip to the Devin Castle in Slovakia was awesome. We had the chance to have a wonderful guide. Her name is Jarka Baron highly recommand her. Thanks again for the great day folks! Patrick and Sonia
It was a long climb to the top which was fine for us but just might be tuff for older people. Also it really wasn't a wine tasting it was just two glasses and no discription.
We thoroughly enjoyed this three hour tour on our third visit to Bratislava. The Devin Castle was of great strategic importance since ancient times. Our guide Miro was both knowledgeable and interesting. After the climb to see the castle and Danube views and a walk down to the Danube banks to see the memorial to the Slovaks shot while trying to escape the Iron Curtain, we found the wine tasting of the local black currant wines to be a refreshing break. All in all, a memorable addition to our visit to Bratislava.
We had a lovely time with our tour guide Jakara! She took us on the tour to Devín Castle and went above and beyond to teach us the history of not only the castle but also of Bratislava. We got to see where the iron curtain was and memorials that marked the area. The wine consisted of two currant based wines at a local eatery near the castle. After returning to the pickup spot, instead of ending there, she also took us on a tour of the city which made us fall in love with it! She not only acted as a wonderful tour guide but was also adamant that we had good pictures to remember it by. She was such a gem and we couldn’t recommend this tour enough for anyone that wants to learn, see, and explore!
The walk through the Old Town of Bratislava was a wonderful experience. The streets are full of history, beautiful buildings, and a unique atmosphere. What made the tour even better was our excellent guide, who explained everything in an interesting and engaging way. I definitely recommend this walk to anyone who wants to discover the charm of Bratislava.
The castle is closed on Mondays. Unfortunately, the provider has not written this on its website. In hindsight, unfortunately, we only got a lame 10€ back. But the wine tasting was very good and also the guide was very nice and could tell a lot of history.
Karla did a nice job and was very passionate about sharing g the history of the castle. The wine tasting was OK
This was a great excursion. Our guide, Jarka, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great information for the entire trip. The castle is impressive and the exhibit about the Iron Curtain and Cold War is a must see.
