Rejseplan

Very nice overview of Bordeaux, which is about 2 hours away from the cruise port. Our tour guide, Camila, was engaging and personable. She did a good job of making sure everyone kept up and could hear her (she did use a mic). There is a good amount of free time for you to grab a lunch and do a little shopping. I would love to come back and experience more of Bordeaux in the future!
Camilla did a good job although at times it was hard to hear her unless you were walking directly behind her or if she stopped . Suggestion is to just pay for the shuttle bus into Bordeaux and then do the tour on your own (using chat GPT tour itenerary - you would see more, as the larger group slows you down).
The bus was right off the ship and easy to find. The meetup at the end was a little confusing, as the guide wasn't exactly where I thought she was meant to be. The tour includes a couple of miles of walking before a 1 hour break for free-time. The buildings and landmarks are beautiful. The guide (Camilla) was knowledgable and friendly. I feel comfortable booking tours through Viator.
We were picked up at our cruise port which was nice. Tour gave us a good overview of Bordeaux; just wish we would have had a bit more “free” time as we ended up with just one hour after our walking tour finished. Camilla our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of her history. Bus was very comfortable.
Tour and Emma, the tour guide were fabulous! Emma shared many historical and interesting facts and made it fun. The busses sucked! The first one broke down halfway to the destination we were transferred to another bus. On return confusing to find the right bus then had to change seats 3 times due to broken seats.
Our guide was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging — in two hours of walking we came away with a solid sense of the city's history and layout. If the tour were only the walking portion, this would be an easy four or five stars. One avoidable frustration: for whatever reason, she was the only one of the three guides in our group without a microphone. The other two had them, and ours had to project over street noise, so those of us toward the back missed parts of what she said. Not her fault, but an easy fix on the operator's end. The rest of the problems were logistical. The listing describes a group of up to 35, but three full buses were shuttling people in. The walking groups were reasonably sized once we split up, but the scale of the operation delayed our arrival in the city, and we waited more than 20 minutes past our stated meet-up time before anything happened. The bus itself was in poor condition: visibly dirty, with a strong mildew smell, and several broken seats that left people cramped for the whole ride. Finally, the roughly two hours of free time afterward sounds generous but isn't. If you want an unhurried lunch and any shopping, it's not enough — the city is simply too big for both. Anyone who'd rather browse and explore at their own pace might do better skipping the guided tour entirely. This is a hard port either way given the distance from the ship to the center.
Dear Jonathan, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and balanced review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the walking tour and found your guide kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. We appreciate your comments regarding the microphone and completely understand how important it is for all guests to be able to hear the guide clearly, especially in a busy city environment. We have shared your feedback with our local team to help ensure this is addressed for future tours. We would also like to clarify the group-size concern. The advertised maximum of 35 guests refers to each guided walking group, not the total number of guests travelling from the port. In fact, on this date each guide had only around 20 guests per group. Unfortunately, one of our three buses experienced an unexpected technical issue, requiring us to reorganise the passengers between the remaining buses, which caused the delay. To compensate, we extended the tour by 15 minutes. On the day of your excursion, one of the three coaches experienced an unexpected mechanical issue. To ensure that the tour could still operate and that all guests could participate, we had to quickly reorganize the transportation arrangements and accommodate passengers from the affected coach on the remaining buses. Unfortunately, this resulted in delays and larger-than-planned transfers before arriving in Bordeaux, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We also appreciate your comments regarding the condition of the coach and have shared this feedback with our local transportation partners. We are committed to working with suppliers who provide comfortable and reliable vehicles that meet our guests’ expectations. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We truly value your comments, as they help us continue improving every aspect of our excursions, from guiding quality to transportation and overall guest experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide the smooth and enjoyable experience we aim to deliver. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
Kaz was super cool!! His energy was evident from the time we left the dock. He spoke continuously for well over an hour on the route to Bordeaux. While in Bordeaux, at every point of interest, he spoke in depth. He’s the type of tour guide whose voice was not monotone, meaning he keeps your attention. He’s very knowledgeable about his subject matter. He kept our attention with his levity and more-so, the information he’s relaying. A definite 11 out of 10!
Guide - Jan - was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about her city. Travel to and from port was very lengthy but the tour of the city was very thorough ending with an optional wine flight and cheese tasting which was lovely.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We understand that the journey from Le Verdon Cruise Port to Bordeaux is quite long. Unfortunately, the port is located about two hours from the city, and there isn't a way to shorten the travel time. We truly wish there were! We do our best to make the journey as comfortable as possible so our guests can enjoy everything Bordeaux has to offer once they arrive. Thank you again for choosing Vexperio. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future! Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
The guides were amazing and on time but the bus is very old and dirty.
Dear Patrick, Thank you for your feedback, Patrick. We're very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your guides. However, we're sorry to hear about the condition of the bus. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for your experience. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will investigate the matter with our transportation partner and recheck the condition of the vehicle to ensure it meets our quality standards. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback helps us improve. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
Emma is detailed oriented, very knowledgeable. It’s an exceptional experience. Thank you!
