Delt afro-argentinsk vandretur i Buenos Aires

Beskrivelse

This activity exceeded my expectations. I learned about a topic I had zero information on; a side of the Argentinean history that is generally unknown. Kimberly my guide was simply excellent. This tour should not be missed..
It was fantastic! We learned so much about the community and the culture. What I loved the most was that Karl always tied each story back to the begin of where the lesson started. There was a constant throughline! We were captivated throughout the whole tour.
I had a fantastic time with Ekene. It was just me so it was basically a private tour! I was running late and she was super patient which I’m so grateful for. I really enjoyed getting to see and hear about the black and also indigenous history of Buenos Aires. It was super fun chatting with Ekene about history and also comparing that to the present day in terms of afroargentines. I had walked around San Telmo quite a lot but the tour added another layer to the neighbourhood and the little known histories it holds. Overall I loved it and shout out to the el Tambo Afro where the tour ends which is a wonderful spot in San Telmo committed to celebrating Argentina’s black heritage through art, crafts, workshops and literature!
Thank you for your review!

African American genealogy is my hobby so this tour was right up my alley. The tour guide was AMAZING. His knowledge on Afro-Argentine heritage was scholarly. He was friendly, answered all our questions and passionate. This is a must while in Buenos Aires.
We love sharing this side of history that our country tried so hard to erase... Argentina is AFRO too!
The walking tour was great. Kimberly our guide was friendly, provided excellent Information and actually spent extra time with us. Our group all enjoyed ourselves and felt we understood Argentina better
Thank you Clareice! It was our pleasure hosting you this week!
I had an absolutely phenomenal experience on the Afro-Argentinian Walking Tour in Buenos Aires this past week. My guide, Nicholas, was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the subject. I ended up being the only participant, which turned the tour into a highly personalized, one-on-one experience that made it even more special. Nicholas provided deep insight into the often-overlooked history of Black people in Argentina and their significant contributions to the country’s culture and society. He also offered thoughtful perspective on the current political and social climate for Afro-Argentinians today. Be prepared—there’s a lot of walking (about 3–4 hours across the city), but it’s absolutely worth it! 5-star experience all the way. Highly recommend!
Thank you for your comments, I'll pass on your praise to Nico!
Kimberly was an incredible guide! She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Argentina, not only as it related to Afro-Argentinian heritage, but also the country as a whole. She was very generous with information about Buenos Aires, Argentina, and neighboring countries. Kimberly was so accommodating to my partner and I, addressing all of our questions and having engaging conversations about various topics that came up in relation to the tour. We learned so much about Argentinian history! She had a great, contagious energy that made learning very enjoyable. Although sometimes the information was disheartening, Kimberly consistently made the tour lively and upbeat. Thank you Kimberly!
Thanks for your review! Kimberly rocks!
Amazing and eye-opening tour! I learned so much about the often overlooked history of Afro-Argentines and their impact on Argentina. The guide (Ekene) was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing stories and historical context that you rarely hear elsewhere. It really changed the way I see Buenos Aires and its history. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a deeper and more inclusive understanding of Argentina.
