Take pictures to capture the memories. The information shared gave lots of insight on the rich history of the area.
Andres is a wonderful host. We had a delightful time exploring the area. Andres is a great guide, source of information and historian. I highly recommend this trip.
Florencia met us at our hotel and provided great information to us on our drive to San Isidro. During the drive, Florencia taught us how the Mate is used and gave samples to us of the Argentine tea. Upon our arrival in San Isidro Florencia provided us with a complete history of the area and showed us the important buildings and the cathedral. She took us to a small café where we were able to taste local pastries. When we left San Isidro we drove to the boat launch where we boarded a river boat and traveled down the Tigre Delta. We went to a wonderful restaurant on the Tigre where we had a scrumptious lunch and were able to walk around the property of the old plantation. We invited Florencia to join us for lunch and she explained the different dishes on the menu. This tour was an amazing tour out of the city that should not be missed.
Andres was the perfect tour guide. He was very accommodating, and we learned so much about Argentinas history and geography. Highly recommended!
Andreas brings a special touch to these tours. He is knowledgeable, punctual and goes above and beyond to ensure that all the logistics of your day are in order. We used his services for the majority of our transportation and tour needs in Buenos Aires. All were excellent. Would definitely recommend his company.
Thank you so much for your nice words Nichole! You are a nice family and it was my pleasure to be your tour guide!
We had the absolute best time exploring San Isidro and the Tigre Delta with Andres. He is very attentive, has an in-depth knowledge of the local area, and is a great conversationalist. We took two different tours with him and couldn’t be happier.
A bus brought us ~20 miles from BA to the city of San Isidro where we had a pit stop and chance to wander. It is a lovely old town of narrow tree-lined streets, cobblestones and colonial buildings. We followed our guide to a former home, now museum, with expansive lawn and garden behind. At the docks in Tigre, we boarded a private motor boat for a leisurely one-hour sail in the labyrinth of rural waterways. The Tigre Delta consists of ~2000 islands. It was formed by the silt deposited from the Iguazu River as it meets the sea. Many, though of course not all of the islands have residences, built either behind a sea wall or on stilts. Some luxurious, some falling down. There are no roads here – the only way to move about is by water. A grocery boat stops for whoever hails it . . . medical boat . . . school ‘bus’ boat, and others all serve the local population. Every home has a dock. Electricity for the most part is by individual generator and water is purchased by gallon cases from the grocery boat. It was interesting and different . . . also very nice to be on the water in beautiful weather.
