Det er en tur, hvor elskere af historie, politik, natur og fotografi møder hinanden. På kun 7 timer udforsker du det georgiske Sahara, Rainbow Mountains, David Gareji Lavra og søen. Når alt kommer til alt vender du tilbage til Tbilisi og afslutter turen klokken 17.

Traveler's Meeting Point - er et frirum, hvor du kan møde nye spændende mennesker, spille brætspil, lytte til god musik eller nyde et glas vin.
Det første sted, hvor du vil stoppe, er en butik for at købe snacks. Da området ikke har gode restauranter, og vi ikke har et frokoststop, bør du få lidt snacks for ikke at føle dig for sulten og utilpas. Og derefter tager vi til en salt sø, hvor vi har en enestående mulighed for at tage nogle flotte billeder. Søen er på vej til David Gareji Lavra, og udsigten er forbløffende til at tage mindeværdige billeder. I alt vil vi til butikken og søen have 30 minutter.
Efter søen fortsætter vi med at køre gennem Udabno Village, oversat som en ørken. Området, hvor vi skal rejse, er det eneste halvørken Georgien har, og det er mere end fantastisk at se, hvor forskelligartet georgisk natur er.
Vi begynder at gå mod de berømte Rainbow Mountains i slutningen af kørslen. Det mest imponerende træk ved landskabet er den mineralrige sedimentære bjergart, der ser ud som om den er blevet malet med farvestrålende striber. Det er muligt at vandre gennem Rainbow Mountains, som forbløffer besøgende med deres farver. Vi går gennem Rainbow Mountains, tager mange fascinerende billeder og forbereder os til David Gareji Lavra historiske tur. David Gareji Monastery Complex er et af de mest åndelige steder i landet. Du vil høre historierne om klostret, tage lidt på vandretur og se en georgisk soldat ved grænsen mellem Georgien og Aserbajdsjan. Det menes, at St. David valgte dette isolerede sted, fordi han ønskede, at hans disciple skulle leve et liv i hellighed uafhængigt af resten af samfundet.
Efter David Gareji Lavra vender du tilbage til Tbilisi og afslutter turen kl. 17.00.

Tota (Nicholas) was a fantastic guide, he was very knowledgeable about the local history and answered my (many) questions. Zaza drove much safer than your average Marshutka driver and his van had seatbelts which I appreciated. The monastery and rainbow mountains were stunning, well worth the visit!
It was great. Tota was a wonderful guide and the views hiking in the rainbow mountains were spectacular. Zaza, the driver got us there very safely. I would definitely recommend doing this tour if you love nature and a nice hike with a picnic at the end.
Zaza was our driver and Tota (Nicholas) was our guide for the trip and he was fantastic! He led our lovely hike through the rainbow mountains. I do believe maybe 5 more minutes at the rainbow mountains would have been better, but it was very windy, so I understand. There were no big crowds at any of the stops. In fact, there were almost no people on the hike. The hike to the picnic, the ancient monastery, it was all lovely. One of the cutest day trips you can do—quieter, more kinesthetic with the hiking, perfect for someone who would want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a few hours and soak in the landscape and the wind. We had the best time with our guide Tota ! We were a small group with 5 people and Tota made sure we had the best group spirit. We learned a lot about Georgian history and Tota took us on a very beautiful hike to the best picnic spot. We would definetely do it all over again. Would totally be careful about the weather though, i can imagine it would be very difficult in the summer heat. We had a cloudy day so it was perfect.
