I've visited over 40 countries and this was honestly one of the best tours I've ever been on. All of the locations we visited were beautiful and Teona did an incredible job explaining the history and answering all of our questions. And the lunch at a local's home was so good! The hosts were generous and kind and their home was beautiful. There was a lot of uphill walking and stairs, so keep that in mind. It was a memorable, amazing day!
Thank you so much for your amazing review! 😊 It truly means a lot to hear this from someone who has traveled to more than 40 countries. I'm honored that this tour stands out as one of the best experiences you've had! I'm delighted that you enjoyed the unique history and beauty of Katskhi, Chiatura, and Gori, and that I was able to help bring these places to life through their stories. It was also wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the lunch with our local hosts. Sharing authentic Georgian hospitality is one of my favorite parts of this tour, and I'm glad it became a memorable part of your day. Thank you as well for mentioning the uphill walking and stairs, as that is very helpful information for future travelers. It was a pleasure having you on the tour, and I hope your travels bring you back to Georgia again someday. There are still many hidden gems waiting for you! 🇬🇪✨🏔️❤️
We had an unbelievable day with Teona who showed us not just the tourist traps but HER Georigia. She was knowledgeable and patient, sharing her experiences and thoughts openly and honestly. She organised the day beautifully and we packed so much in. The lunch she organised for us was incredible! She even managed to control the weather, ensuring the clouds parted in time for an incredible sunset before we witnessed a huge electrical storm over Jvari monastery. Highly recommend to anyone looking to spend time getting to know this beautiful country better. Thank you Teona

My goal is always to help visitors connect with the real stories, people, and places that make this country so special. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the day, the local lunch, and all the unique stops along the way. And while I can't officially take credit for controlling the weather 😄, I have to admit that the sunset and dramatic storm over Jvari Monastery made for a truly unforgettable ending to the day! Thank you for your kind words about my guiding and for recommending the tour. It means a lot to me. I hope the memories of Georgia stay with you for many years, and I would love to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. 🇬🇪✨🏔️🍷 Safe travels and thank you again! ❤️
We had an absolutely fantastic day trip with Teona and couldn't recommend her more highly. She is knowledgeable, passionate about sharing Georgian culture and history. She was well-spoken, easy-going, fun to be around, and effortlessly managed our large group of 18 people. Our group was a mix of ages, kids, teens and adults and she was wonderful at story telling and answering all kinds of questions. What made the day really special was Teona's local knowledge and connections, which gave us experiences that were authentic rather than touristy. We enjoyed some of the most epic Georgian food and wine of our entire trip and got a real taste of local life. We also witnessed one of the most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen, followed by an incredible electrical storm. Teona ordered both especially for our group!
Thank you so much for this incredible review! 😊❤️ What a joy it was to spend the day with your wonderful group! Managing 18 travelers ranging from kids to adults could have been a challenge, but your group made it such a fun and memorable experience. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the history, stories, food, wine, and the authentic local experiences along the way. One of my favorite parts of guiding is introducing visitors to the Georgia that locals know and love, so it means a lot to hear that these moments stood out to you. I'm especially happy that everyone, regardless of age, felt included and engaged throughout the day. Curious questions and shared laughter are what make tours truly special. And of course, I must confess that arranging the sunset and electrical storm took months of planning... 😄🌅⚡ Luckily, everything arrived right on schedule for your group! It really was a spectacular end to an unforgettable day. Thank you for your kind words and for trusting me to show you a piece of Georgia. I hope the memories, the friendships, and the taste of Georgian food and wine stay with you for a long time. You will always be welcome back for more adventures! 🇬🇪🍷🏔️✨❤️
We spent a full day touring Georgia with Teona, a guide we found through Instagram, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in the country. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves Georgia and enjoys sharing its history, culture, and traditions with visitors. She was knowledgeable, engaging, warm, and incredibly passionate about her home country. What made the experience even more special was that many of the places we visited were in Teona’s home region, giving us local insights and personal stories we never would have discovered on our own. The day included visits to the incredible Katskhi Pillar, the fascinating Soviet-era mining town of Chiatura, and the beautiful cliffside Mgvimevi Monastery. Throughout the day, Teona provided historical context while also sharing the realities of modern life in the region, helping us better understand both Georgia’s past and present. One of the most memorable parts of the tour was lunch at a family home. We were welcomed like family and treated to an amazing spread of homemade Georgian food, fresh bread, vegetables, family-produced wine, and genuine hospitality. It was the kind of authentic experience that travelers hope for but rarely find. We also visited Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital, including Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Arriving as storm clouds rolled in created an unforgettable atmosphere, and we were rewarded with a spectacular sunset overlooking the rivers below. The day ended with a dramatic lightning storm on the drive back to Tbilisi, providing a perfect finale to an already incredible adventure. From ancient monasteries and UNESCO World Heritage sites to Soviet history, homemade wine, and meaningful conversations, this tour offered a deep appreciation for Georgia’s history, culture, and people. It was a long day, yet Teona’s enthusiasm and energy never faded. If you’re looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about providing authentic experiences, we cannot recommend Teona highly enough. She turned a great itinerary into a truly unforgettable day. Thank you, Teona, for sharing your beautiful country with us.
Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful and detailed review! 😊❤️ Reading your words truly means a lot to me. It was a pleasure spending the day with you and sharing some of the places that are closest to my heart, especially those in my home region. Knowing that the local stories, personal connections, and authentic experiences helped you see a deeper side of Georgia is the greatest compliment I could receive. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the diversity of the day, from the unique Katskhi Pillar and the fascinating history of Chiatura to the peaceful atmosphere of Mgvimevi Monastery and the rich heritage of Mtskheta. Georgia is a country with many layers, and my goal is always to help visitors discover not only the famous landmarks but also the stories and people behind them. It makes me especially happy that lunch with the local family was one of the highlights of your experience. Georgian hospitality is something we are very proud of, and sharing a homemade meal, family wine, and genuine conversations often creates the memories that stay with travelers the longest. The weather certainly put on a show for us that day! 🌅⚡ The dramatic clouds over Mtskheta, the beautiful sunset, and the lightning storm on the journey back created a backdrop that none of us will forget anytime soon. Thank you for your kind words about my guiding, enthusiasm, and passion for Georgia. It was a joy getting to know you throughout the day, sharing stories, answering questions, and exchanging perspectives. Guests like you are the reason I love what I do. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey, and I hope our paths cross again someday. 🇬🇪❤️🍷🏔️✨ Safe travels and all the best until we meet again! 😊
Brilliant experience, visting varied places that are not on the typical tourist trail. The Katskhi Pillar is something that you have to experience in person, and was the main reason for booking the tour, but our highlight was the Mghvimevi Monastery. A beautiful, peaceful experience in a church carved into the rock. Lana, the guide, is from the region, and on the way back to Tbilisi she got us some grapes and snacks from her mother's house. Such a lovely touch! Thank you Lana and Alex!
Thank you so much for this beautiful review! I’m really happy you enjoyed the day — Katskhi Pillar is always breathtaking, but I agree, Mghvimevi Monastery has a special kind of peace that stays with you. Lana is from that region, so she loved showing you her home area and adding that little personal touch on the way back. Alex also told me he enjoyed driving you! Thank you again for choosing to explore Georgia with us. You’re always welcome back anytime 🤍 — Teona, Views Georgia Tours
