Vores Kakheti-tur tilbyder en dag i en af de smukkeste regioner i Georgien. De allerbedste vine kommer fra Kakheti. Her dyrkes næsten tre fjerdedele af landets vindruer. Arkæologiske fund har antydet, at der er blevet produceret vin her i flere tusinde år. Næsten hver landsby i Kaketi er kendt for sin egen slags vin, såsom Kindzmarauli, Akhasheni, Teliani, Mukuzani. Vine er opkaldt efter de steder, hvor de produceres. Turen til Kakheti omfatter flere turistmål, såsom klosteret St. Nino i Bodbe, Sighnaghi – Kærlighedens by. På vores vej skal vi smage georgisk brød kaldet "Shoti". Shoti bages traditionelt i en dyb cirkulær lerovn kaldet "tone". I løbet af høstsæsonen besøger vi også en af de største vinfabrikker i Khakheti, hvor du kan smage og købe vin.

Pirosmanashvili Museum - Hvis du har hørt den triste historie om den verdensberømte georgiske maler, vil du nemt gætte, at vi taler om Niko Pirosmanashvili, også kendt som Pirosmani. Niko Pirosmanashvili State Museum blev oprettet i Pirosmanis hjemby Mirzaani i 1960 og inkluderer hans familiehus og en udstillingshall, der viser nogle af kunstnerens originale værker og personlige ejendele.
Klosteret St. Nino i Bodbe - Oprindeligt blev bygget i det 9. århundrede. Det er et af de største pilgrimssteder i Georgien. Kloster holder graven til ST. Nino, den cappadociske pige, der konverterede georgiske folk til ttistianitet allerede i 337 e.Kr. Det har en betagende udsigt over Alazani-dalen og sneklædte Kaukasusbjerge.
Sighnaghi - City of Love. Det er den smukkeste by i Kaheti. Sighnagi blev oprindeligt udviklet i det 18. århundrede af kong Erekle II. De defensive mure og 28 tårne blev bygget af ham mod lezgianske invasion. Byen har en vidunderlig udsigt over Alazani-dalen til Kaukasus ud over. Efter gåtur har vi en traditionel middag med workshop, hvor du lærer, hvordan man laver traditionelle måltider. Du kan også smage traditionelle slik med druesaft - Churchkhela og Pelamushi.

It was a small group of 5 of us with a delightful English speaking guide Anano and an excellent driver David . The Telavi tour comprised of a pleasant drive through the country side and we stopped at Ujarma monastery, went across to a wine making and tasting place . Lunch was fabulous. We stopped to check out a 900 year old tree, and the masterpiece was the Tsinandali estate the summer home of thr famous Georgian writer and patron of the arts - Chavchavadze, which gave us an insight into the life of a famous aristocrat and intellectual. It was a well preserved summer retreat with had many original items of irniture,.pianos, cutlery, crockery etc intact. Anano kept us curious and her historical narrative transported us to Georgian history, origins of orthodox christianity and Georgian cultire. She was also very open to answering questions of current political scenario and was very professional and balanced all through. I highly recommend the tour company and guide.

My friend and I took a Kakheti wine tasting tour. The tour was great, and we had so much fun. Special thanks to our tour guide, Nino—she was wonderful! Luka explained the wine differences and the winemaking process in a very fun and welcoming way. The food was delicious and the ladies at the restaurant were very sweet!

We as a family of 4 had a great tour exploring the Kakheti region! Our Guide Nick was extremely knowledgeable of the area and Georgian Culture & history and gave us ample time to explore each destination. Our driver Vazo also was very good and safe driving. We really enjoyed each spot and the winery Vineria Kakheti was gorgeous and gave us a detailed wine tasting and lunch. Would definitely recommend this trip to friends & family! 🥂😊
