I have just returned from a few days (too short!) in Belgrade and this was one of the highlights of the weekend. Here are the things I liked, which hopefully convince you to book it too: 1. Yair is personable, friendly, keeps the group together, is a wealth of information, and is attentive. He arranged chairs for those who needed them, handled people on the street well, changed food options for those who needed it and even sang happy birthday in Serbian to a participant. 2. The tour is well organized. Yair's colleague was always there to arrange the food, pay, etc. so he could focus on the group. There was also a good mix of outside/inside in air conditioning, wonderful pacing so no one got too full, and a mix of street vs. restaurant items. 3. The tour strikes a good balance - all items you taste are available to buy, but there is no pressure to buy. You get to visit places that are happy for your business. Yair also pointed out good non-food shops - I returned to a pottery store later on in the evening for souvenirs. 4. I went to places I might not have found on my own. There was a burek stop with no real name, and stops at the market that I might not have realized would do food to go. 5. The tour is very generous - in the quantity/quality of food, the time taken (over 3 hours!), the information, etc.
Our guide Yair Arama was simply great! Very good explanations, great stops, delicious and special food! Yair responded well to everyone in the group and took excellent care of us! Many thanks for that!!
Excellent. The variety of food, the friendliness and knowledge of the guide and the stories we got to here were all fantastic. A great way to see the back streets and to get a great flavour of what to eat.
Excellent tour. Great information and story's, food and drinks were superb!!
This was a very pleasant way to spend a few hours on an informal tour sampling a decent variety and amount of Serbian food. I especially liked the cevapi, the rakija tasting and the cold cuts and cheese in the market at the end. Yair was an engaging guide. I was actually reluctant to book such a tour, because smoking really bothers me, and it's so common in restaurants and bars in Belgrade, even indoors. But Yair was very understanding, checked in with me about the issue a few times, and it didn't turn out to be a problem. We sat in no smoking areas of venues, and although a few of the group were smokers, this was when outside, walking etc and pretty easy to avoid.
Awesome experience! Our tour guide was professional, friendly, and full of interesting stories. The international group made it even more fun. Simple, relaxed, and delicious — highly recommended if you're visiting Belgrade!
A small group and great guide. Off the beaten track bakeries, truffle tasting, chocolate sampling, cevapi, goulash, fruit, meats and cheeses at market. Even a chance rakija taste stop. Anna was absolutely brilliant and great company. An exceptional stop at the bikers bar moto platz. Will return there fur a drink and souvenirs. My favourite dish Burek (meat) and trilece cake. We went 1st August and it was 35 degrees so very hot. Definitely recommend.
Enjoyable experience and some tasty food
Wonderful tour! Highly recommended. There was a big variety of food and the guide was great!
Yair was a great guide and took us to seven different locations including the market to taste a wide variety of local food and drink. Lots of food all included in the price, with the opportunity to buy products if you wanted, but zero pressure. We had a great time - would recommend.
