07:00 Vores rejseguide møder dig i hotellets lobby, hvorefter vi kører 1,5 time nordvest for Saigon, gennem det sydlige landskab til de legendariske Cu Chi-tunneler. Netværket strækker sig fra Saigon til grænsen mellem Vietnam og Cambodja og omfatter utallige falddøre, sammenfiltrede opholdsområder, lagerfaciliteter og våbenfabrikker, minimilitærhospitaler, kommandocentre og endda køkkener. På denne tur vil du udforske en Viet Cong-soldats liv under jorden.
- Strækker sig over 200 km, dette tunnelnetværk - gravet af håndforbundne shelters, poster, hospitaler og våbenbunkere...Du kan gå gennem området og lære om VC's liv, se de smart forklædte indgange og kunstfærdige fælder. Derefter vil minivanen køre omkring to timer for at nå Mekong-området.
- Nyd frokost i lokal restaurant på vej til Mekong. - Efter frokost skal du forlade storbyen, da landskabet gradvist erstattes med rismarker og landlige landsbyer på din køretur til My Tho. - Så starter turen med at tage små både og sejle på floden for at besøge en kokosfabrik for at lære om, hvordan man laver kokosslik her og smage nogle lokale produkter. Så har du en chance på hestevogn gennem landsbyen og nyd nogle tropiske frugter.
- Herefter er den fantastiske robådtur på den lille kanal i landsbyen Tan Thach i Ben Tre noget, du ikke kan gå glip af. Endnu en holm på denne tur vil bringe dig til en lille bifarm for at nyde honningte og andre lokale produkter. Så kom tilbage til dit hotel omkring 17:30 - 18:00.

We had a one day private tour to Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. Our tour guide Lee was knowledgeable and shared about Vietnam war history, answering many of our questions. Thank you very much for the great tour. It was an unforgettable, exciting and informative experience for us to have done the tour with our tour guide Lee. Great private tour done with Lee and driver who took us safely everywhere. In the morning we went to the tunnels. In the car Lee told us all about the war history, not only from the books but also from his father. We arrived before the big crowds and the visit was very impressive. The second part of the day was slightly modified at our request; for example a Vietnamese and Buddhist temple (where monks also live) were added and horse and cart ride changed to tuk tuk. We skipped the honey where many tours stop. Lee had arranged a private boat that took us in the Mekong to several stops. All in all had a really great day. A private tour may be a bit more expensive but we really liked it. We booked Lee through tours with locals.

A great day out. Penny was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the tunnels and the history of the Vietnamese war. We learnt so much from her. It is a long day so be prepared for that. We also want to say how great the driver was.
Penny is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and completely made the trip for us. Her English is exceptional. Apart from seeing the the Cu Chi Tunnels, which was quite an eye opening experience, we had a lovely trip along the Mekong Delta, stopping for lunch and going to a couple of small islands which was really interesting. All in all a great day.
