Rejseplan

Traffic in Saigon is horrific and we spent 2.5 hours in the can each way to get to and from the tunnels. During this time the guide totally ignored us. No commentary in what we were going to see or anything about the schedule for the day. Once we got there it got a little better but not much. The extra time it took to travel to and from the tunnels reduced the amount of time spent touring the city itself. On the ride back, again the guide ignored us and was sleeping in the front seat while the driver who drove like Mr. Magoo by the way got us back to town. Really poor service overall. The tunnels are interesting and worth the visit but do it as a tour separate from the city tour or you will waste too much time in both inter city and local traffic nightmares. This is supposed to be a private tour, but when your guide ignores you it sure doesn’t feel that way.
Beware that traffic is bad in this city so it could take a while to go out to Cu Chi. It was interesting to visit the tunnels and see the history. We also enjoyed visiting the War Museum in the city. The place tour was just Ehhh! Our guide James was awesome though. Kept us entertained and informed.
At the beginning it seemed that Viator had forgotten us; no email, no call, any kind of confirmation. So we decided to call them and it was clear that if we would not have done so, we would have missed our tour. After that, everything was great: the guide picked us up right on time, van and driver were very good, guide was friendly and nice and had a very good level of knowledge about places, history and things we saw. I would recommend this tour and this guide, who we called Japan.
I have watched films about the Vietnam War over time, but none of them has succeeded in translating the dedication, inventiveness and efforts of the Vietnamese army into the guerrilla battles. What is very certain after visiting this goal - it is highly advisable that in these places, as many tourists as possible will see, in fact, a break from the logistics and action of the Vietnamese guerilla army. Experience is unique and unmatched.
Owen Nguyen was fantastic. Spoke excellent English and is extremely knowledgeable. Also, has a great personality. It was very easy to spend the day with him. He knows his material very well. Very smart man. He was by our side for 9 hours. He is a joy! He planned ahead and picked us up at our condo.
We were picked up on time from our hotel by our guide Huan to start our day journey. Huan was very friendly and his English was very good. We started off by going to the Cu Chi Tunnels followed by lunch in the city and then a combination of walking and driving around the city, where Huan pointed out all the things of significance. Huan is very knowledgeable and the we found it very informative. We finished off the day at the War Remnant's Museum. The tour was well organised and a great way to learn more about Vietnam. I would recommend booking this tour.
