Cu Chi-tunnelerne i Ho Chi Minh-byen For at blive beskyttet mod fransk besættelse i 1940'erne gravede de kommunistiske geriljatrupper kendt som Viet Cong titusinder af miles af tunneler med deres blotte hænder og enkle værktøjer og udvidede yderligere under den amerikanske krig i 1960'erne. Cu Chi-tunnelerne ligger 75 km nordvest for Ho Chi Minh-byen og er et omfattende undergrundsnetværk bestående af 250 km tunneler og kamre i byen Cu Chi. Dette enorme netværk underjordiske tunneler i Vietnam, som er blevet bevaret af Vietnams regering og er blevet en populær turistattraktion.
