It was a great experience. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We seen baby eagles, dolphin, and a couple manatees. Nice relaxing boat ride.
It was a very fun experience. Relaxed and the captains were knowledgeable and entertaining. Wonderful for my kids!
Nice, cool refreshing, floating experience on a very hot day! Water is Crystal clear. Saw some fish which just had some fun being together took about two hours to float down.
Very disappointing experience with Crystal River Boat and Nature Tour. We purchased 7 tickets while on vacation in Homosassa, Florida. The company’s website showed no cancellations for June 11th, so we proceeded as planned. Upon our arrival, the person we assumed to be the captain, seemed immediately irritated that we had purchased tickets. He said “we just need to reschedule” due to expected rain storm. We stepped away to discuss options with our family. He then approached us again and stated that we could still go out, but would “not see anything” and would “get wet,” strongly pushing us to reschedule for the next morning. During this conversation, he made an insulting remark toward my daughter and her children, questioning whether they would even be capable of arriving by 10:00 a.m. the following day. This comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. Unfortunately, rescheduling was not an option for my husband and me, as we were leaving for Clearwater the next morning. The only resolution offered was that he would mark us as no-shows and that we would “eventually” receive a refund for two of the tickets. The entire interaction left our family upset and disappointed. What made the situation even more frustrating was that it did not end up raining as predicted per usual Florida weather! We understand that weather can impact outdoor activities, but customer service and professionalism should remain a priority. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of expectations!
We booked the morning of because we were only here 2 days. Our tour was excellent. Informative and genuine. It was summer there, so there was no guarantee to see any manatees but we were able to see one off in the distance and one right next to the boat, which was pretty amazing. Many points of interest were pointed out to us. Also, lots of information about hurricanes.
This boat tour was one of our favorite things we did on our vacation! The price was perfect for all of the knowledge and experience our guides brought to the tour. The company provided us with our ideal balance of a laid back and formally guided excursion. If you’re looking for people who know the wildlife and area, this is the one!
Just enjoy the boat ride. In the cooler months you will see the manatees. Saw pelicans, other bird species Ibus

We had an amazing experience with Captain Jamie Ward from Crystal River and Nature Tours! From the moment we arrived, my children and I were treated with kindness, patience, and genuine hospitality. Captain Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the beauty of Wild Florida, its wildlife, and the natural environment in a way that was both educational and engaging. My kids loved learning about the area, and he made sure they felt included throughout the tour. His friendly personality, professionalism, and attention to detail made our trip truly memorable. Boat trip with guide provided interesting knowledge of area and even though it was overcast weather and we couldn’t see in water so well, we still got to see a few manatees. Speed of boat was comfortable and safe. Enjoyed Kings Bay Area especially.
