Oplev det bedste af de nordlige Cotswolds med en sjov, venlig lokal guide i en lille gruppe på op til 16 personer. Vi vil udforske billedkort Cotswold byer og landsbyer, herunder Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury og Bourton-on-the-Water. Passagerer, der deltager i turen på Stratford-upon-Avon, vil blive hentet fra Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal kl. 08.50. Derefter rejser vi til Cotswold by Moreton-in-Marsh, hvor vi samler vores sidste gæster fra Moreton-in-Marsh togstation kl. 9.30. Fra Moreton-in-Marsh er det 15 minutters kørsel til vores første officielle stop. Vi vil give en introduktion til turen undervejs.
Det er kun en kort køretur til vores første stop, udsigtspunktet ved Dover's Hill og lang vej vil din chauffør-guide begynde deres underholdende kommentar, der fortæller dig historien om Cotswolds. Chipping Campden er en charmerende og typisk Cotswolds købstad, fuld af historie og arv, men også hjemsted for stor uafhængig shopping og fremragende kaffe og kage! Ved hjælp af de kort, vi leverer, har du omkring en time her til at udforske og opdage Chipping Campden selv.
Ved hjælp af de smalle backlanes besøger vi vores "hemmelige" Cotswolds landsby i omkring 20 minutter. Dette er en off-the-beaten-spor placering, som mange af vores kunder er enige om er den smukkeste landsby på turen!
Den højeste by i Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold, er en travl, historisk købstad med masser af gode shoppingmuligheder og en række fremragende steder at spise frokost (frokost ikke inkluderet). Vi stopper her i omkring 1 time og 15 minutter, og med de kort, vi leverer, kan du udforske Stows højdepunkter i ro og mag.
Ved hjælp af de smalle bagbaner er det cirka 30-40 minutters kørsel fra Stow-on-the-Wold til Bibury. Bibury er en lille, men perfekt dannet Cotswolds landsby, engang beskrevet af William Morris som "den smukkeste i England". Deltag i en tur for at se om du er enig!
Efter Bibury er det en fantastisk 30 minutters kørsel til Bourton-on-the-Water, vores sidste stop inden vi returnerer vores kunder tilbage til det sted, hvor de startede. Bourton-on-the-Water, der er beskrevet som "Cotswolds-Venedig", er en landsby med postkort med Cotswolds-stenbroer, der krydser floden Windrush, der løber lige gennem centrum af landsbyen. Det er meget populært blandt besøgende, især på en varm dag, når padling i floden er det sidste valgtid, men en rundvisning i Cotswolds ville ikke være komplet uden et stop her.

Hvis du rejser fra Moreton-in-Marsh med tog, anbefaler vi altid, at du køber en fleksibel billet, som giver dig mulighed for at tage et hvilket som helst returtog, og/eller planlægger at afgå efter 17.00. Vi tager derefter tilbage til Stratford-upon-Avon for at aflevere vores sidste gæster omkring kl. 17.30. Our guide Peter is an absolute gentleman. The tour is well worth doing if you want to get the most out of your stay in the Cotswolds.

If you’re considering a day tour of the Cotswolds, stop looking and book with Go Cotswolds. My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful day exploring one of the most beautiful regions of England. Our itinerary included Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, and the breathtaking views from Dover’s Hill. Every stop had its own unique character—from charming villages and historic streets to stunning countryside that looked like something out of a storybook. We never felt rushed, and the pacing of the day was perfect. What truly made this tour exceptional, however, was our guide, Stephen. He grew up in the Cotswolds, and that lifelong connection shines through in everything he does. His passion for the area is contagious, and his knowledge goes far beyond dates and facts. He shared fascinating local history, stories, traditions, and personal insights that brought each village to life in a way no guidebook ever could. Stephen’s energy, enthusiasm, and genuine love for the Cotswolds made the experience unforgettable. He was engaging, personable, funny, and clearly proud to share his home with visitors. Honestly, the best tour I’ve ever done! I had booked at a few options for my visit to the Cotswolds and I’m so glad I went with this one. Couldn’t fault it from start to finish. The communication prior was great, the day ran smoothly in this regard too as well as promptness of pick up times etc. The information given throughout the tour was engaging, and a really fascinating overview about the Cotswolds and beyond.
