An amazing experience, saw lots of pilot whales, really close. The tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. They respected animals and the ocean. It’s clear they enjoy their job and care about the environment.
An unforgettable experience in a small group. The boat captain and the tour guide complemented each other perfectly in the search for sightings of dolphins and pilot whales. We actually got to see a lot of animals. At times, the animals swam in close proximity to the boat. Absolute goosebump moment! This was topped off by the expertise and extensive explanations of the two crew members, whose enthusiasm was evident throughout the entire tour. First and foremost, our tour guide David. Thank you once again for this unforgettable experience.
It was a beautiful experience. Not only because it is truly exciting to see animals free in their natural habitat, but also because right from the start the staff seemed very competent; let me explain, it wasn't just their competence and kindness that impressed me, (they explained very well which animals we would try to see, how they live, their characteristics) it was especially their passion, the passion for their work, for the environment, and for the animals they took us to see. At the moment of the sightings, they were as excited as we were seeing them for the first time, and this impressed me a lot. And their collaboration with the university helps in the research and study of cetacean behaviors. It was not just a tourist excursion with photos, music, etc.; it was a meeting with animals alongside people who are passionate and attentive to what they do every day. And that is what I appreciated the most. Thank you, David, thank you, Mirna, thank you, Candela, thank you to all the staff. Good job! Silvia and family.
Great experience! Mirna and David are passionate, very involved, and especially very respectful of animals. This outing is not just an excursion to observe whales and dolphins: there is also a very interesting and enriching university project behind it. We greatly appreciated the exchanges with them. They explained a lot to us about cetaceans, their behavior, and how to observe them responsibly. An outing that is both magnificent, educational, and respectful of nature. We recommend it without hesitation!
It was really great! A lovely comfortable boat ride, with incredibly kind staff. The children loved it, and so did the dad 😂 It is definitely much more interesting when we are a small group with explanations from professionals than on huge boats with a crowd of tourists, and the animals feel it!
Booked for my partner for our anniversary. As animal lovers, couldn’t have been better. Relaxed, informative & respectful of nature. Perfect sized group. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Well, what can we say! In Nov 2024 we did this trip twice in the week we were on holiday in Costa Adeje. This week we did the trip twice too! We loved every minute of it, as before. A trip with expert marine biologists, who are so passionate about the sea life, really makes this trip special. Also that it only takes a maximum of 10 for each trip. David and Mirna are real characters and impart their knowledge in a way that is easy to understand and give you facts that are interesting and informative. We cannot rate them highly enough! Jo and Mark from Isle of Man
One of the best activities I could do with Trip Advisor. A human-sized boat with a guide, David, of rare pedagogy and with so much knowledge! And a Captain Higinio who led our boat perfectly and always respectful of dolphins and whales. The show on board was wonderful, a chance to have seen the dolphins and whales so close! This is undoubtedly (in my opinion) the best possible experience for this type of activity in the Canary Islands!
Great outing at sea, explanations, committed staff, and pilot whales (glopicephales, dolphin family) and a school of very playful dolphins!
I’ve done a lot of these tours, so I won’t pretend every one is amazing — many are just average. This one wasn’t. We went on a whale-watching tour with Eco Experience as a family (with teenage kids), and it was honestly the best marine excursion we’ve had. For context, this was my third similar trip — I’ve done whale watching in Madeira and the Azores — so I actually have something to compare it to. What stood out wasn’t just “we got lucky.” Yes, there’s always an element of luck with wildlife, but here you can clearly see the team’s experience and coordination. They were actively searching, communicating, adjusting — not just driving around hoping for the best. And it paid off: we saw dolphins and, most importantly, whales — which we had really hoped for. The whole experience was engaging and interesting for everyone: me, my husband, and our teenage kids. That’s rare. Usually someone is bored — here, no one was. If you’re considering a tour like this, I’d recommend Eco Experience without hesitation. They know what they’re doing.
