Følg med på en dejlig to timers vandretur gennem de charmerende gader i Como, en juvel beliggende mellem foden af Alperne og det skinnende vand i Comosøen. Denne tur er perfekt til første gangs besøgende eller enhver, der ønsker at opleve højdepunkterne i denne historiske og maleriske italienske by. Vi begynder vores rejse ved den ikoniske Piazza Cavour, byens livlige hjerte, der åbner ud mod søen og tilbyder fantastisk udsigt over de omkringliggende bakker og strandpromenaden. Derfra vil vi gå gennem Comos elegante historiske centrum, hvor stenede gader fører os forbi middelalderlige tårne, renæssancepaladser og livlige piazzas. I det nittende århundrede eksisterede ikke pladsen, der var dedikeret til Camillo Benso-greven af Cavour, i stedet for var der en havn nu begravet. Først blev pladsen præget af butikker og arkader, de bygninger, vi kan se i dag, blev bygget gennem årene. På meget kort tid blev Piazza Cavour en veritabel "bylounge". I slutningen af 1800 i midten af pladsen blev der opført en fontæne og senere blev den installeret i Bronx Park i New York. I begyndelsen af det 20. århundrede blev der placeret tre blomsterbed (stadig til stede) på siderne af pladsen. Sporvognsspor blev bygget og senere erstattet af en vej. Omkring 1950'erne blev det brugt som en parkeringsplads. I slutningen af halvfemserne udgjorde ti vandstråler installeret inde i det nordlige blomsterbed det sidste arkitektoniske bidrag til stedet. Pladsen kan blive oversvømmet på grund af dens konstruktion på søen.
Teatro Sociale, teater i Como, designet af arkitekten Giuseppe Cusi, blev bygget i 1811 ved hjælp af den eksisterende struktur af et gammelt slot (vi kan se de originale vægge selv i dag). Den første forestilling fandt sted i 1813, og i dag kan du nyde teaterforestillinger, men det er også et godt sted at arrangere ceremonier, bryllupper, forretningsbegivenheder.

Disgusting the tour guide operator didn’t turn up! Ruined our whole Como experience! Still waiting for a company representative to contact me! The number they provide is not in service!!!!!!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we must clarify that our guide was at the meeting point at the scheduled time. We personally attempted to contact you several times using the phone number provided in the booking, and our guide did the same. Unfortunately, none of the calls were answered, and we never received a callback. We can provide screenshots of the outgoing calls as evidence. We always do our best to reach guests who are not present at the meeting point, and in this case multiple attempts were made to contact you without success. For this reason, we respectfully disagree with the statement that nobody showed up or tried to contact you.
This was a fun walking tour! Our guide knew so much about Como - there is so much more history here than we originally thought! Definitely worth the time and money for the tour, we learned so much and our guide had great recommendations for restaurants as well.
