Really fun and different way to learn about the history of Coimbra. Great alternative to a traditional walking tour. Fantastic value as well.

A fun way to see the city without the structure of a tour guide. I wanted to break up the amount of structured tours so opted for this for my husband and I. We got to additional areas of the city off the beaten path, got some exercise walking from the old town up to the university and a little competition to see who get get the best score.

A very enriching experience both for the knowledge acquired of the city, the streets and its main attractions, and for the healthy and super fun competition between small and high school students. To repeat in other cities of our Portugal. 😉

We stopped in Coimbra on our way from Porto to Evora. We ended up doing only part of the tour because we wanted to get on the road, but what we did was fun and what we saw was nice. App worked great.

Our family trip to Coimbra became an unforgettable adventure thanks to the Explorial app's self-guided tour. The tour began at the University of Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explorial brought history to life with intriguing stories about the University's centuries-old traditions. Our child was particularly mesmerized by the tales of the ancient Joanina Library and the Grand Examination Room, turning the tour into a fascinating time travel experience. By the end of the day we went to some family-friendly spots where we could taste the delicious "pastéis de Santa Clara".
