Bestigning af Kilimanjaro gennem 8 dages Lemosho-rute

Beskrivelse

Had an amazing experience with Zaf tours. Our trekking team provided an incredible, five-star experience from start to finish! Marcello took exceptional care of us, waking us up with morning tea and hot water, and warming our beds with hot water bottles at night. Ali always had our tents set up before we arrived, while Steamer and Matthew walked back on the trail to carry our backpacks. Chef Abbu prepared amazing, varied breakfasts like porridge, eggs, and pancakes, always eager to keep us well-fed despite our altitude-induced low appetites. With a consistently clean personal toilet tent and unmatched hospitality from the entire crew—including Massu and Heliman—we felt completely pampered throughout the journey.
Our Kilimanjaro trek with Zafs tour was truly a never-to-forget experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with great care and precision. The arrangements were seamless, the guides were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, and the hospitality exceeded expectations. One of the biggest surprises was the food—unexpectedly diverse and delicious, adding comfort to the challenging journey. The warmth and dedication of the team made us feel at home even on the mountain. This trek wasn’t just about reaching the summit; it was about the journey, the camaraderie, and the unforgettable memories created along the way. I look forward to joining them again for future expeditions. Highly recommended for anyone seeking adventure with unmatched service and heart.
Lovely experience in the mountain trek. We'll organized and managed by ZAFFS TOURS. Was a complete once of a lifetime experience with great guides and killi warriors
Was a once of a lifetime experience, traversing through rain forests, moor land and Alpine deserts!! Very well managed and executed by ZAFFS tours which provided a complete experience.
One week ago, we stood on Africa's highest point, Uhuru Peak. The sun was out, a light wind was blowing, and age-old glaciers towered above tiny clouds. The final meters to the summit were deeply emotional, either because the thin air played tricks on our brains or simply because we felt an immense surge of pride of having made it. But let's start at the beginning. There are seven different routes up Kilimanjaro. We picked the Lemosho Route as it has one of the best acclimatization profiles. That means that over the course of 8 days, your body slowly gets used to the high altitude. As a result, the chances of successfully summiting are significantly higher. The first days brought us through beautiful rainforest, vast moorland, and to the alpine desert. Most of the trail is easy to follow, but you absolutely must not underestimate the mountain. Even without technical sections, the altitude will affect your body. Proof of that is the regular trips of the emergency helicopter. One important thing to be aware of is that the mountain is busy. This is not a peaceful nature excursion. During the high season, at least 500-600 people crowd each campsite. This includes both guests as well as their support crews. As a result, some sections of the trail will involve traffic jams, for example, the Barranco Wall. If you can, try to join a group that does not exceed 5 people. Smaller groups move faster. Each day on the mountain began the same way. We were treated to an ample breakfast before setting out. As we left camp, our support crew put down the tents, shouldered the heavy load, overtook us, and already put up the tents before we arrived at the next camp. Here, we were treated to a full lunch before taking an afternoon nap. In the evening, we had another ample meal. You definitely won't go hungry with ZAFS. On summit day, we decided to start late. All other teams set out at midnight or 1 am. We only started our hike at 3 am. If your group is reasonably fast, this is the best strategy. Instead of 6 hours in the dark, you only endure 3 hours. Psychologically, this is a massive difference. Additionally, the trail is empty, and there is a good chance you'll enjoy the summit almost by yourself. Seven hours after setting out, we stood on Uhuru Peak, brimming with joy and soaking in the atmosphere. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of the excellent team put together by ZAFS. First and foremost, our guides Alex & Laurian did an excellent job of leading us safely up the mountain. Their expertise and knowledgeable guidance kept our spirits high at all times. We truly had a wonderful time and highly recommend them. Additionally, we want to give credit to all our 'Kili fighters', Ali, Isaac, Abu Bakari, Jackson, Benjamin (aka Benja!), Charles, Freddy, Tony, Emmanuel, Mchunguzi, Ngai, Julius & Gerald (German), who took great care of us on the mountain and made sure that everything was running smoothly. There is no doubt that the porters are the backbone of every successful expedition on Kilimanjaro. Last but not least, we want to thank both Zainab & John for organising this trip. ZAFS did both fulfill and exceed our expectations. There was not a single moment when we felt that our needs were not met. The entire trip ran absolutely smoothly, and all three members of our group made it to the summit. A small group, expert guides and clear communication, what more can you ask for?
Our family of three climbed Kilimanjaro with Zafs Tours, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment we landed to the time we were dropped off after the climb, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and warmth. The pre-climb orientation and check-in were thorough and reassuring, especially as we came in almost blindly, trusting a recommendation from Indiahikes. The entire team during the climb was exceptional. Special thanks to Virgie, who supported us patiently through email communication during the booking process, answering every question with clarity and care. On the mountain, head guide Musa demonstrated remarkable leadership, calm confidence, and genuine support that made a huge difference to our experience. We are so glad we chose the 8-day Lemosho Route; it was gentler, beautifully paced, and gave us ample time to acclimatise. Thanks to this thoughtful approach and the team’s constant encouragement, all three of us successfully summited, something we will always cherish. The food was amazing throughout the trek, exceeding all expectations, and having flushable toilet facilities on the mountain was a huge comfort and speaks volumes about the quality of service Zafs Tours provides. A special shoutout to the chef and team, the stomach engineers, who kept us well-nourished and energised every single day. We are deeply grateful to the entire support team, including the porters, kitchen staff, and all the behind-the-scenes crew whose hard work, care, and quiet dedication made this climb possible. This climb was challenging and memorable, and Zafs Tours played a central role in making it safe, supportive, and joyful. We couldn’t have asked for a better team, and we highly recommended for anyone considering Kilimanjaro.
The most challenging, thrilling and best experiences of my life. All admission fees were taken care of. We summited on the 8th day.
The hospitality was next level and the guides had very good man-hours of experience in handling such challenging trek.
