If you do nothing else while in Galway - you have to do this tour! Daryn was our guide and she was so sweet, upbeat and truly excited to share with us everything about the Cliffs and the area leading to them. Taking the 5 mile hike from the bottom up is really a fantastic experience because you get to see things that others will not if they just enter up top by the visitors center. We walked for about 3 hours, taking breaks for photos and to take it in - and everywhere you looked, it was absolutely beautiful. Then when we got to the Cliffs, there are really no words to explain the pure beauty of it all. We also spotted some Puffins, horses and the biggest cows we’ve ever seen. This review will not give the experience justice - but trust me, it’s an experience you will not want to miss.
We had a great hiking tour of the Cliffs of Moyer. Phil was a great guide full of humor and interesting details of the area. *Make sure you wear multiple layers of clothes. The temperature changes a lot during the hike.
Incredibly well organized! The hike itself was beautiful and just the right level of difficulty. Our guide Phil shared lots of stories that made each landmark memorable. He took extra care to make sure we were doing okay. Would def recommend.
Great walking tour! Murphy was friendly, professional, and provided a lot of good history about the area. He picked us up from Galway and took a scenic route back to give us more sights. Highly recommend this tour
Murph was a fantastic tour guide. He was a safe and timely driver. He provided a plethora of information about the Cliff of Moher and general Ireland history. The pacing of the tour was great and you got to see all the best photo spots along the cliffs. We were lucky and didn’t get any rain or fog so the views were fantastic. One of my favorite parts was the quick coffee shop stop before arriving in Doolin for the AMAZING cinnamon buns. They are perfectly fluffy and lightly sweetened.
Murph our tour guide was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the area . The hike was fun despite the cooler weather . Would definitely do it again!
Thank you for the wonderful experience. Murphy picked us up from Galway and was very helpful kind and clear with his instructions. He shared historical stories and answered all our questions as nothing was a problem for him. He really was professional yet caring and interested in all the people on the tour. He was careful about safety and the smaller numbers made this comfortable and safe. It was such a wonderful way to experience of the Cliffs of Moher with sun, wind, upwind waterfall showers ( which added to the fun) and steady pace. Useful suggestion re lunch and the sea food chowder was delicious. So grateful for the sun as it was meant to rain. We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Thank you
I did a private tour with Murph who was a total delight. He answered ALL of my questions ranging from a complete Irish history reminder to birds and flowers and everything in between. It was a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Ollie and Freya were the best in arranging this special day and accommodating a stop that I requested. The entire process was easy and warm. A real Irish treat. Highlights: The Cliffs of Mohr were stunning in a way that words can’t describe even though everyone says to go there, and the sheep dog demonstration was super fun. Even got to let them afterwards :)
Phil was one of the funniest and most down-to-earth tour guides I’ve ever had. He was easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. The Cliffs of Moher hike was manageable and absolutely stunning. Doing the hike with a small group was far more relaxing and enjoyable than being on a large bus tour with dozens of people. You have the chance to get to know everyone, move at a comfortable pace, and really take in the experience. The cliffs themselves are breathtaking. I have never seen such an incredible view. If you’re visiting the Cliffs of Moher, I highly recommend this tour!
Phil, Sean and Fiachra were the best! We had a bus ride from Galway to Doolin with Phil and got to stop for coffee at a small town along the way. Sean and Fiachra lead our hiking group up the Cliffs of Moher where we got to meet farmer Pat and braved the elements (wind and rain). We ended our tour at O’Connor’s pub in Doolin with a chowder and some Guiness. Would recommend!😊
