Saint Sophia "Haghia Sophia" på græsk betyder "guddommelig visdom", er en ekstraordinær arkitektonisk præstation fra det 6. århundrede. Bygget af Anthémios de Tralles og Isodore de Millet blev det indviet af Justinien og hans kone Théodora (537). Dette byzantinske mesterværk har pragtfulde mosaikker med en guldbaggrund og farvede kugler. Justinian til opførelsen af kuppelen havde bestilt fra Rhodos jordsten, så lys, at tolv af dem vejer ikke mere end en almindelig mursten, de bar følgende inskription: "Det er Gud, der grundlagt, vil Gud hjælpe ham. " Ottomanerne havde omdannet den til en moske, derefter blev det i 1935 et museum.
Den blå moske (1609-1616) er en af de mest berømte moskeer i verden med seks minareter, den skylder sit navn til de keramiske fliser (ca. 20.000) fra Iznik (Nicea), overvejende blå, der linjer dens indvendige vægge. .
Slotten TOPKAPI har 4 forskellige gårdspladser, det bosatte sig 70ha før opførelsen af jernbanenettet og var sultanernes opholdssted indtil 1800-tallet. I 4 århundreder var det det administrative centrum af det osmanniske imperium. Slottet husede hovedkvarteret til DIVAN, det vigtigste organ af magt. Dens enorme køkken fodres mellem 4 og 5 tusinde mennesker om dagen. I dag er køkkenet vært for en samling kinesisk og japansk porcelæn. Dens berømte skat, med 86-karat "kasikçi" diamant, guldkronerne dekoreret med diamanter, sultanens troner er vidner til imperiets rige historie. I den tredje gårdsplads i paladset er hallen til relikviene fra profeten Mohammed, det er et hellig sted for muslimer. Kioskerne i den 4. gårdhave fuldender denne arkitektoniske skønhed i paladset. På disse terrasser har du en betagende udsigt over Det Gyldne Horn og Bosporen.
Et vandreservoir fra det sjette århundrede med 336 søjler og et volumen på 90.000 m³.

Our week in Istanbul would not have been so rich in discoveries without Mustafa's company. This guide is passionate and makes the tours very interesting and enjoyable. I had selected places I wanted to see. There were both the main tourist sites and less popular neighborhoods. Mustafa has concocted a beautiful tour route with incredible places that would have been inaccessible to us without his company. Many thanks to Mustapha. A nice meeting I highly recommend. It is very likely that we will return to Turkey in a while and why not discover Cappadocia with Mustafa of course.
Our extended weekend in Istambul would have been so poor without the company of this Mustapha guide. Mustapha is passionate and makes visits very interesting and very pleasant. Back from SRI LANKA and MALDIVES we stopped for 3 nights and 2 days in Istamboul. We were 4 and we spent these 2 days on the old town with Mustapha. Its strengths: punctuality, availability, listening to its customers, adapting to the pace of customers, speaking perfect French and very in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of its country. Besides, in the big bazaar, he avoided tourist routes to take us to the "local part" and show us "real life". If you can, for the cruise on the Bosphorus I recommend the option "private boat" which in addition to the longer duration (+/- 1 hour) also allows to take full advantage of the knowledge of Mustapha. This guide has passionate us to the point that we will go again to Istamboul and certainly then to Cappadocia and we will use his services at that time. I recommend you 200%!!!
