Denne heldagstur giver os mulighed for at besøge den nordlige del af øen Chiloé. Efter at have navigeret Chacao-kanalen i 30 minutter og observeret et stort udvalg af fugle og søløver, ankommer vi til byen Chacao. Vi går mod Ancud, hvorefter vi går 28 km sydvest for Ancud for at besøge naturmonumentet Puñihuil-øerne er et vildt område beskyttet af staten, hvor fiskere har sluttet sig til og forvandlet turismen ved at gennemføre guidede ture, navigationstjenester og restauranter. For at se en koloni af Humboldt- og Magellanske pingviner er det nødvendigt at tage en båd (navigation ikke inkluderet) langs Stillehavets kyst. Vi fortsætter med at rejse rundt på øen og passerer gennem en lang ensom strand, hvor vi vil se havet i al dets pragt. Når vi vender tilbage vil vi besøge den næstmest befolkede i Chiloé, Ancud by, hvor vi vil besøge dens plads, markedet, håndværksmessen, vennerne af kirkestiftelsen og det berømte San Antonio fort.

Chiloe Island is off the coast of the mainland about 15 miles. The island is HUGE at 90 miles long and 45 miles wide. Once on the island all the features of the mainland with town / farm / businesses, make you think you are on the mainland. We observe a lot of the wildlife existing way south on the content. There, we board small boats via a loading contraption (keep our feet dry) to a boat located just off the beach

Wakeen, our guide was excellent. He went between Spanish and English flawlessly all day long. He was attentive to our needs and taught us about the culture, customs and history. The penguin excursion was a success with us seeing penguins and a bonus otter! Great trip! Thank you, mucho gracias!

It was a great and very informative trip. Ingrid is super knowledgeable guide - she probably knows all the birds in that island and Orland is a super careful driver. Penguins are super great part of the trip. And churches … yes in case of any doubts Ingrid would tell you all you need to know. Fantastic experience. Our kids loved it!
Very good tour, our guide took us to Chiloe island. It started raining we took a scenic route to Andy’s. There we toured a church and a museum. The penguin tour got cancelled but we still went to the beach where we take the boat to see the Penguins and there on the rocks we did see many of them. Overall both the guide and the driver showed us a great time despite the bad weather. Thanks so much!
