Operator never arrived for pick up! No one answered the phone until 30 mintues after scheduled pick up! No one replied to our multiple emails and whatsapp messages! This was the absolutely worst experience EVER!!! I totally regret doing business with this so-called tour company.
It was a great tour , my only complaint would be how long it was. It was about a 14 hour tour from beginning to end .
Pros -Cenote & Chichen Itza Are both Amazing Sites to visit. Cons -Tour Operator will rush you through every site, and is sometimes rude. Villadolid - Waste of Time Nothing Special & you only get 20 Minutes to explore and nothing really to see. Mayan Village is a Scam, Basically a Gift Shop that you visit with a Horrible Bar. Buffet is probably the worst food you will ever Taste, no flavor and Servers are rude. Better off paying for food at Chitchen Itza Do not buy Diamond Package - Bad Cheap Beer served in cups on Bus & Watered down tasteless Drinks at sites. We were Dropped off 4 Blocks from our Hotel, told there was another shuttle close buy but could not find. Had to walk with our gear. DO NOT GET THIS TOUR better off doing a VIP of Drive yourself Ive had many tours in Mexico and this was by far the worst, If I could get a refund I would. Hate doing this but we paid good money for this. They need to just skip the Town and Mayan Village, provide quality Beverages and food. Do not try to push junk souvenirs on tourists.
Dear [Reviewer’s Name], Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Chichén Itzá and the cenote, but we’re deeply sorry to hear other parts of the tour didn’t meet your expectations. We understand your concerns about the pacing, food quality, and other elements of the experience. Your comments are valuable and will be shared with our team to improve the itinerary, enhance the dining options, and ensure better service overall. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during the drop-off and appreciate your suggestion to focus on quality over quantity. Thank you again for your insights, and we hope to have the chance to provide you with a better experience in the future. Warm regards,
Were over an hour late to pick us up with no call or email. Called told a bus of one color with a particular name on it would be there in 10 minutes .... bus of another color with a different name picked us up. Was advertised as a group maximum of 15 people; there were 63 people in our group. Advertised as having an English speaking tour guide. Did not consistently get English translations.
Dear Bryna_, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your excursion, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the late pickup and lack of communication. The confusion regarding the bus color and name is concerning, and I regret that this added unnecessary stress to your day. I will be addressing this with our transportation team to ensure clearer communication in the future. Regarding the group size, I apologize that it exceeded the advertised maximum. This is not the experience we strive to offer, and I will be investigating how this occurred so we can prevent it from happening again. I also regret that the English translations were not consistent throughout the tour. Providing clear and comprehensive information is a priority for us, and I’m sorry we fell short in this area. Your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to make improvements to our services. I hope we can have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Warm regards,
A long but rewarding day. We were collected from our hotel early and after collecting other passengers along the way; we headed to the Myan village & cenote. After introduction and blessing from the shamen we had time to change, shower and swim in the cenote before lunch. The cenote was so beautiful. Life jackets are mandatory & an additional cost. We also chose to hire a locker. The buffet lunch was varied and tasty. Back on the coach we then had a very brief stop in Valladolid (20 mins). Valladolid is exactly how I imagined a "typical" old town Mexico would be. We then arrived at Chichen Itza. It was very busy and a little chaotic in the ticket hall. After a little delay we entered the park and headed towards the ruins. The guide gave us information in both Spanish and English. Although informative it was a little hard to take it in and took twice as long due to having to go through both languages. This meant we had very little free time in Chichen Itza and felt rushed. Chichen Itza is meant to be the highlight of the trip so more time should be allotted to really absorb the site. We had a good day but if we were to go again we would search out a smaller group and possibly an English only guide.
There is so much to see at Chichen Itza - and so much to learn. This is a MUST visit site for anyone going to the Yucatan Peninsula. However, with demand high, the only way to go...at least, in my findings...was in a big bus group. Not so easy to get around. We also visited Valladolid - for only 20 minutes... not enough time to see the glories of this colonial town. I would have preferred more time at both Chichen Itza and Valladolid. We also stopped at a cenote, which was stunning - not a cave, so open to the air with lots of flora. My preference would be...less retail therapy and more tour time...
I paid $56 more per person for a VIP all inclusive which was not provided. Viator reimbursed me $20. Viator sells tours with extra amenities which are not provided.
Dear Adriana, Thank you for sharing you experiences with us. We apologize for the inconvenience. The difference that you paid for the VIP option was only 10USD. That s why you have been refund for this amount. Beside this we hope that you enjoy the visit of Chichen Itza. See you soon in Mexico

The tour was pretty much as advertised. It was worth the spent although once in Cancun/Riviera Maya, it appears that similar if not the same trips for same can be arranged once you are there.
It was billed as an english guide, however english was his second language and half of our van we had approx 15 people spoke spanish and thus, he spoke both languages throughout the tour.
Once at Chichen Itza, he actually had to pass us to other experts/guides as he was apparently not qualified no credentials to provide the onsite Chichen Itza tour himself. So our english-speaking portion of the group was given to a guide that spoke english, and he was good.
The food at the restaurant was pretty good.
The cenote that we stopped at was also great, as it was not crowded.

The tour was great! Learned a lot of history about the ruins, and symbolism of the structures as well.

This tour was great.Be prepared for a very long and hot day,but absolutely worth it.Our guide on the bus was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. The driver was safe and considerate. Lunch at the cenote was delicious and service was outstanding. The guide at Chichen Itza also amazing!
