Unbelievable, jaw-dropping adventure! Had a lot of island excursions, but this is the crown jewel. Caleb guided and exceeded every expectation we had. I've climbed and rappeled a fair amount. After conversing with Caleb I knew I could offload the stress of gear and safety to him. My son and I made lifelong memories. Can't really think of anything I would recommend higher, in any state, for anyone. Take the plunge and share the story!
This was the best activity we’ve done in Hawaii!! If you love adrenaline, this is your thing. Caleb made us feel so safe, and it was easy to pick up. No experience is needed. Caleb also told us a lot about Hawaii during the hike. We had an absolute blast. It is something we will never forget!!!
My wife and I booked this excursion on our ten year anniversary trip. It was by far the most fun thing we did in Oahu! My wife had never been rappelling before and Caleb was an excellent instructor. He was a great guide and excellent photographer! We booked the “extreme rappel” and highly recommend it! 10/10 would do it again!
I am formerly certified in Technical Rope Rescue Operations and have experience rappelling huge falls in Sleeping God Canyon (New Zealand) and Ubud, Bali, so I booked the advanced waterfall rappel with Caleb Morrison. The hike up was steep but had good holds on roots; it was a hike I would have enjoyed even if not rappelling. Caleb was well organized, inspired confidence, and gave instructions that promoted a relaxed atmosphere. I was able to stop mid-rappel at several places and use my support hand to take clips with my GoPro, while Caleb filmed from above with his phone. The setting and falls were beautiful and not very slick, making for a safe, easy rappel for someone with a few canyoning trips experience. He has experience rescuing a woman from the middle of this falls during high water. I would definitely book this trip again, he has wilderness first responder training and is investing in continuing education in canyoning. 10 year old boys and a 63 year old man in Crocs have gone on this course with Caleb, but you really should have experience on Caleb's standard course or equivalent to be able to do this route.
Amazing views of the area as you are hiking up and a great experience coming down the waterfall! Caleb is an awesome guide!
A challenging hike up. Caleb was a great guide. The views were breathtaking!! Repelling the waterfalls-most fun ever.
What an exhilarating experience. Definitely a must do in Oahu if you like to try adventurist activities different than just the usually hike.
Caleb was an absolutely awesome guide. Super communicative, knowledgeable, and just a good time. He made sure we were safe and comfortable the entire experience, and really met us at our skill level. An absolutely beautiful hike to kick off the day. We’re avid hikers, so found it to be right up our alley, but know that there are some scrambles and it is off the beaten path. Probably my favorite thing we did while exploring the different Hawaiian islands. Thanks, Caleb!!
Exhilarating! First, Caleb is just a wonderful person and for this kind of activity you need that. The hike is a little wild as it’s not really a trail, I think it adds more to that jungle hike experience, but I promise it is SO WORTH IT! What a view! The waterfall drops into a little pool that you can swim in. It is such a beautiful hike, and then you get to the crazy and fun part- the rapelling, you can absolutely do it. Caleb made the experience feel like my husband and I were on a hike with a friend which made us feel more comfortable and then excited about the rapelling part. He makes it feel less stuffy out there, calms you down and gets you pumped for the experience. Thank you Caleb! Next time we hope to do an excursion with him and our family- Jemely & Jerry
This was hands down one of the coolest things I have done on any trip anywhere. Hiking to the top should not be undersold as it was just as exhilarating as the waterfall rappel (I'm sure that's a controversial take lol but the views were great). I'm an experienced hiker in my 30s and a casual indoor rock climber. The pictures I got from this were incredible! The trail to the top wasn't as difficult as others had made it seem online in Google reviews. That being said it is still very rugged. When I hiked, the conditions to the top were pretty dry and there were no issues with mosquitos but I could see it getty pretty muddy after some rain. Bring good hiking shoes! I did the Extreme version of this excursion and it was well worth it! Caleb did a great job of explaining the gear, how to use it, and even gave me a practice rappel on a small hill which was nice to help build my confidence before the real thing. I wore quick dry shorts, a wetsuit top provided by Caleb, and special cloth shoes to help grip the rocks also provided by Caleb. Make sure to bring a hat to keep water out of your eyes as you rappel! Caleb was a awesome guide, he took safety seriously, took time to tell me about the land, plants, and animals in the area and was overall super fun to hang out with. He was very responsive to my questions via email prior to my trip an he was also a great photographer!
