Canyon-oplevelse i Dominica

AMAZING! Had the best time with our group and our guides were fun, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this, and did, to everyone I know!!

I had an absolute blast! This is an experience you simply cannot leave Dominica without doing. It was easily one of the best adventure tours I've ever been on. The canyon rappelling itself was exhilarating, and the breathtaking scenery surrounding us made the entire experience unforgettable. But what truly made this tour exceptional were the guides. Junior, Joshua, and Danielle were some of the friendliest, most welcoming, and genuinely passionate tour guides I've ever met. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and love for what they do were evident from start to finish, making everyone feel safe, encouraged, and excited throughout the adventure. If you're visiting Dominica, this tour is an absolute must-do. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Unfortunately, we did not get to experience the tour from extremely heavy unpredictabe rain for the time of year. From what we were told, the first heavy heavy rainfall of the year. The tour guides were super nice and patient. We were going to go out, but the guides said it would be a slight rush from the high rising water. The guides agreed it would be best to wait until another day to do the tour. I got a full refund as expected, so no biggie. I'm confident that it will be one of the best adventures of my life! See yall in a year!

We had a great canyoning experience with Extreme Dominica and would recommend it to anyone looking for an adventurous day on the island. The tour was roughly half jumping from higher rocks into canyon pools and half rappelling down, which made for a fun mix. Akeel and Caleb were excellent guides: knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and really fun to spend the day with. We visited in mid-May, after the main tourist season, so our group was small, just my husband and me plus one other couple, which made for a relaxed, personal experience. One thing to note is that the tour is weather dependent. Our original date had to be moved because of heavy rain the night before, but Tanya was very helpful and got us rescheduled later in the week without any issues.

If you are searching for ADVENTURE, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! No matter who you are this will not disappoint. This was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been in my life!!!!! You definitely need to have a good level of physical ability and fitness, because we were constantly scrambling over rocks. You don’t need to be able to deadlift 500 pounds but you do need to be able to walk and balance over river rocks, have a little bit of upper body strength when you are lowering yourself down on the steeper slopes (and you’re holding onto a rope), and all the scrambling. I would say no one with knee, ankle, foot issues, and no major elbow or wrist issues or anything like that. I got tired on the hike back up the hill, as my legs were just burned out. But the boys were great and helped me up and gave me a quick glucose supplement and a few minutes of rest. They were very caring, fun, and helpful. And they let us practice as many times as needed to get comfortable with repelling. The repelling was almost easier than the hiking. I recommend canyoning shoes/water shoes/or just being okay with your tennis shoes being soaking. You could probably bring a honey and electrolyte gel pack in case you get hungry/low on energy. They give you everything that you will need in terms of a wetsuit, harness, life jacket, ropes, etc. but no flip flops. Closed toe shoes. Also leave behind anything you don’t want to get wet or come off such as jewelry, phones, etc. You WILL swim and be soaked to head to toe and you have no choice. I recommend this to anyone who wants a great adventure!!! Better than any movie… I felt like Indiana Jones or Lara Croft for real. As I said before, it was honestly the best day of my life.

This is a must do activity if you’re visiting Dominica! We had such a blast exploring the canyons and taking in the beauty of Dominica. Plus, our guides were the best. They made it so fun and made us feel really comfortable about everything we were doing. Thank you so much Akeel and Jahlil for being so awesome!!

This was a surprisingly intense but super fun experience! It does involve some jumps of about 20 feet, which took some nerves, but really paid off in the end. This was the highlight of our whole trip to the island and it really feels like once in a lifetime! The guides were hilarious and made us super comfortable!

This is the second time that I have done this excursion in Dominca and I would do it again! Always felt safe and it is so much fun!

Amazing but not for the out of shape or faint of heart! We absolutely loved it but it’s a challenge for sure. If you’re up for it, I highly recommend! Staff was amazing and the canyons are breathtaking.
