Loved the boat tour, and our tour guide Roberto was great. I gave 4 stars only because some of the stops were at tourist shops that weren't of much interest to me at least.

I booked this tour on the phone with Viator. The booking agent mistakenly filled out the form for the pick up location to be Rio Palace, Baja California, instead of Rio Palace Cabo San Lucas, where we were staying. When I tried to get a refund with the Viator agent, they denied me because we noticed the error one day instead of two days in advance of the Tour. They did try to contact the Tour operator to process a refund, but the Tour operator denied the request. All in all, we were very disappointed that we had to pay for a tour that we did not go on when the error in pick up location was Viator’s fault

After reviewing the reservation, we confirmed the pickup details with you prior to the tour, and the correct hotel (Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas) was provided and acknowledged. Our guide arrived at the confirmed location and also attempted to contact you by phone when you did not appear, but was unable to reach you. Overall, the tour was good. Felt like a value with transportation provided to and from your hotel and there were many diverse activities, including a delicious and authentic lunch. However, one of the stops-- the pearl and jewelry stop named Velvet Box, was a scam. They claimed to have sell me a sterling silver and natural emerald gemstone ring and was valued at $1,500 USD. After the purchase, I read reviews of the store and was mostly negative. When I got home, I had the ring appraised and was worth $75. The silver was authentic, but the gemstones were glass. I suspect the store and the tour company have some sort of agreement if someone purchases something. Thankfully, I was able to dispute it through my credit card company. I'd recommend the tour, but please be aware and not buy anything and the jewelry shop named The Velvet Box!
