Bundala Birds Safari af Jeeps

Pradeep was great! This is a wonderful bird Safari, and we had a fabulous highlight with a male elephant, crossing in front of our Jeep and hanging out for a while with us.

We had a terrific trip to Bundala Park. Our guide spoke excellent English and took good care of us. The vehicle was comfortable and offered good views out to look for birds and animals. Our guide was really good at spotting animals and providing information on what we were seeing. No elephants spotted on the trip, but we did see several large groups of monkeys, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and scads of birds. Highly recommended if you have any interest in birds.

We were met at the port gate. A little chaotic given the number of people. But when we saw our name was asked to wait for the rest of the people booked. 6 of us in an open side safari adapted Toyota (that was the air con!). About 20min drive to the national park. Driver who was also the guide stopped and got out every time he spotted something. Saw a fantastic number of birds, a number of crocodiles and one young male elephant. Water was provided but we took our own. Be prepared to be bounced around as the tracks in the park are bumpy you will also need to be able to climb a small ladder to get into the back of the vehicle. We had a fantastic time. The guides English was excellent and his knowledge of the birds was first class. Highly recommend. Have some great photographs but can’t post as still away on holiday! Take your camera!! You will not be disappointed

Was worried as it was the first time I had book a day trip coming off a cruise ship that was only in port for one day. Need not have worried Pradeep was waiting as promised in an earlier email. What an amazing day both our driver and guide were superb, he drove a different way to other jeeps so we were in our own and we even got to see an elephant as well as monkeys, birds and crocs. They were both so friendly and knowledgeable and he even took photos from a different angle for my husband. It made a holiday Valentine's day one that we will always remember. They made sure we were back on the ship in p!entry of time. Thank you so much for a perfect day .😀

We were picked up on time by our friendly driver in a clean and modern pick up truck with elevated viewing platform. A short drive took us into the national park with no hassle where we met our English speaking guide. He was very knowledgable and told us all the species of birds and other wildlife we saw during our 4 hour trip. We saw many species of birds, water buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, monitor lizards, monkeys and much much more. Our children really enjoyed the trip and it was the perfect duration for them as a half day trip. I would highly recommend.
