Du vil få en introduktion til Bukarest historie og begyndelse ved at se de ældste bygninger i Bukarest.
Bukarests rødder ligger i en handelsbaggrund, for to århundreder siden var hver fjerde bygning i den gamle bymidte en campingvogn-serai, i dag er der kun tre tilbage, og dette er en af dem.
For et århundrede siden var dette Bukarests finansielle distrikt, du vil være omgivet af nationalbanken, den tidligere børs, handels- og handelspaladset sammen med mange andre statslige og private banker.
90% af det rumænske folk er kristne ortodokse, og stadig er vi et ganske religiøst land, dette kloster er et ikonisk monument, som meget godt repræsenterer funktionerne i den ortodokse arv og arkitektur.

We had a fantastic walking tour with Radu. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and helped us understand what Romanian people have endured through the revolution and the years of communism. His gentle sense of humour and warm smile - the way he brought the stories to life made everything feel real and human. The monuments and historic sites in Bucharest are steeped in meaning — some beautiful, some very painful, all important. We’re returning to the UK with a new respect for the Romanian people, and a deeper insight into our granddaughter’s boyfriend’s heritage. A truly memorable experience.
Very enjoyable tour led by Radu. His English is excellent and he is very knowledgable about Romania and Bucharest, their history, modern history and present day. Following the tour he sent by WhatsApp suggestions for places to visit in more detail. Fully recommend this tour to make the most of a short stay in Bucharest.
My girlfriend and I are visiting Romania for three weeks. She is Romanian but hasn't visited the country in over 20 years. For our first stop in Bucharest she compiled a list of landmarks to visit. We decided to do Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour to learn as much as possible about these landmark sites. Eduard, our tour guide, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Romanian history and it's centuries of changes and architectural influences by many different cultures. He was respectful of the group member's ages and diversity and made sure we were shaded from the hot sun at each stop point. My girl and I truly appreciated Ed's clarity in describing each Bucharest landmark. Thanks to Ed, we learned a lot about Romanian history and its complexity of architectural designs.

Ok to start off this tour was one of the best tours we have been on. We expected a highlight of Bucharest and what we received was full of Bucharest history and a knowledgeable guide who made our adventure both better and fun. Daniel is an excellent guide who knows how to engage his group from the start with his wit and nice attitude. He weaves into the history some of his family upbringing to drive some key points home. We left with an appreciation for the culture of Romania here in Bucharest. I will never forget that I must negotiate prices first by appearing disgusted at the initial price. Daniel you are very personable and we wish you a good career and the whole tour appreciated your guide of history of Bucharest.
I didn't know what to expect from this walking tour. However I was super surprised with Eduard's knowledge about Bucharest and Romania. His in depth storytelling of the fall of communism and Ceaușescu. His details including his parents experiences in the 1980s really helped paint a full picture. His knowledge of the architecture was very pleasing as well. I would definitely recommend Eduard's walking tour to first-time and repeat visitors to Bucharest
Daniel was an amazing guide - not only showing us the city highlights but weaving in the history of the city with some amazing personal experiences.
First impressions are everything. Daniel started a tour with 10 of us and immediately took control with his personality. Mixing humor into over 200 years of history to kick off our tour was a great touch. It transformed the next 3 hours into a walk around old town Bucharest into a history lesson. The town has tragic elements mixed with an impressive culture. We had a wonderful time while learning history and seeing the true Bucharest. Cheers Daniel!
We had a fascinating two and a half hours with Daniel. His knowledge of the history and his enthusiasm for Bucharest were excellent, and he showed us buildings that we wouldn't have found on our own. He set the scene for the rest of our visit to Bucharest, and for other towns in Romania.
