Rejseplan

My partner and I booked this small-group walking tour on our second day in Bucharest, and it turned out to be the absolute highlight of our time in the capital. There were only six of us in total, which made a world of difference—you could actually hear everything, ask questions freely, and move through the city without feeling like a herd of cattle. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and articulate. Rather than just reeling off dates and names from a textbook, she wove together a genuine narrative about Romania's complex past. We covered everything from the medieval origins of the Old Town and the stunning Orthodox architecture to the stark reality of the Communist era and the 1989 revolution. Standing in Revolution Square while she shared personal family stories from that era was proper chill-inducing stuff. She also pointed out brilliant little hidden courtyards, local bakeries, and traditional taverns that we simply never would have stumbled across on our own. The pace was comfortable with a well-timed coffee break in a lovely garden café. If you want to actually understand Bucharest rather than just take photos of it, do yourself a favour and book this tour early in your trip.
Lucia was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and adapted where possible to make the experience more personal and memorable, ie - a stop at the chocolate shop😁
We had a fabulous tour with Ed. He was extremely informative, very charming, and helpful. He was the best thing about our trio to Bucharest!
Radu is the most intelligent and knowledgable tour guide ive encountered over 30 different countries. He was super friendly, proactive in ensuring everyone could maoe the pickup time and take breaks where needed. He also had an answer to every single question you can ask. 10/10 could not recommend more!
The tour with Lucia was very interesting. She answered every question in detail and spent the time with the tour participants in a very entertaining way through all the relevant places in Bucharest. The explanations were told in an extremely vivid and understandable way. Many thanks, and for everyone planning a stay in Bucharest, we absolutely recommend the tour with Lucia!
Thx to Edward our guide, he was very kind as for knowledge , great tour, though it ends with rain, recommended and take with you umbrella 😉
Ed is an excellent guide, 100% recommended
Our guide Ed was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Bucharest. The walking tour takes you to many of the key monuments and Ed was able to explain the (sometimes very complicated) historical importance of each as well as making it entertaining. Thank you Ed for a great tour. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking for an introduction to Bucharest and it's history.
I ended up taking the bike tour from the same provider, and it was fun and informative. We managed to cover 3 different parts of Bucharest with distinct histories and architecture. Our tour guide Eduard was excellent and provided very insightful stories from countries historical periods and how Bucharest evolved in those times. He made sure we had time to enjoy each stop and later on provided very useful information about places we can explore on our own. All in all it was an excellent tour!
An excellent tour giving a great overview of the country’s history. The guide, Daniel was first class - knowledgeable and engaging.
