Træd ind i verden af Brontës på denne meget lille gruppe dagstur fra York. Greg, din venlige og entusiastiske guide, vil tage dig gennem den smukke Yorkshire landskab til Brontë land. Første stop er placeringen af Thorpe Green Hall, hvor Anne var guvernør, så efter en kort komfort pause fortsætter vi til Saltaire og de historiske Salt Mills. Greg tager os derefter til Brontë fødested (indgang inkluderet), hvor Greg tilbyder en personlig og engagerende tur i familiens hjem, hvor de berømte søskende voksede op. Vi rejser derefter til Haworth, her nyder vi to fritidstimer for at vandre i de stenede gader, gennemse charmerende butikker, nyde en kaffe og besøge Brontë Parsonage Museum. Dagen afsluttes med en tur op ad Penistone Hill med omfattende udsigt mod Top Withens. Adgang til Brontë fødested og Parsonage Museum er inkluderet, hvilket gør en engagerende og mindeværdig dag. Gregs stil er både uformel, men meget informativ ind i disse berømte søstre.

Et kort stop ved placeringen af Thorp Green Hall, hvor både Anne og Branwell arbejdede for Robinson-familien. Her vil vi stoppe tæt på den hellige treenighedskirke, hvor Anne deltog hver søndag og også skitserede. Greg din guide vil forklare betydningen af dette stop og forbindelsen til familien
Kort hvile / komfort pause
Her vil du have mulighed for at besøge Unesco verdensarvsliste af 'model landsby' skabt af Titus Salt for at skabe en høj kvalitet samfund i løbet af 1850. Også en chance for at besøge Salt Mills. Dette er en enorm tekstilmølle, der giver et indblik i, hvordan den industrielle periode ændrede sig i Brontes' tid. Nu et kunstgalleri, der viser David Hockney værker, antikviteter butikker, en diner og detail butikker.
Bronte fødested var den bullding, hvor Charlotte, Emily, Anne og Branwell blev født. Huset er nu et mangesidigt kulturelt center, der officielt blev genåbnet af dronning Camilla i 2025. Greg vil være din guide, mens vi besøger dette arv site. Entré er inkluderet.
Velkommen til Haworth, i hjertet af Brontë land. Dit besøg i dag inkluderer indgang til Brontë Parsonage Museum, det tidligere hjem for Charlotte, Emily og Anne Brontë. Det var inde i dette beskedne stenhus, at Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights og Lejeren af Wildfell Hall blev skrevet. From the moment we left York, Greg began to tell us the story of the Bronte family. Stopping at various places along the way, including the birth place of Emily, Ann and Charlotte, we arrived at Haworth - a beautiful town with so much Bronte history. Here we visited the Parsonage museum and the many quaint shops along the high street. We had a pub lunch at The Old Sun Inn - great food and not as busy as tge town centre pubs. All together an excellent day out

Great day out tour. Greg (our tour guide) is very knowledgeable about the areas en route to the destinations. The Brontë birthplace is lovely ( and you can actually stay in the original bedrooms). Onwards to Haworth which is atmospheric and will not have changed much since the sisters were in residence. Wonderful place to wander around with individual shops and eateries. (Make sure to visit The Cabinet of Curiosities for amazing candles, soaps & perfumes) All in all a full- on day with lots to see and do. The groups are small, so easy to ask questions. I’ve previously done the Whitby trip with All Tours Great and Small and can highly recommend.

A great day out, Greg our guide made the whole experience very enjoyable with some great stories and interesting facts about the Brontë family. The highlight was Heworth itself, the cobbled streets and the parsonage museum were fantastic, so much history. Loved it.

What an amazing day, Greg took us back in time to experience the life of the Brontë family, visiting their birth place, with lots of interesting stories about the sisters and their journey to fame. Haworth has stood still in time with all the original landmarks still standing. The parsonage museum was fabulous and Greg covered the cost for the entry fee. The curiosity shop sells lovely scented candles soaps etc.., a really wonderful experience for any Brontë enthusiasts. Highly recommend
