Great guide, with real history that is not the run of the mill. Well structured and researched with some great historical characters a must do!!
I took The Untold History of Boston tour on Monday, July 21, and it was truly one of the highlights of my time in the city. Our guide, Sam, was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Boston’s rich and complex history. His storytelling brought to life lesser-known events and perspectives that even longtime residents might not know. What I appreciated most was that this tour steered clear of the overly commercialized tourist spots. Instead, it offered a refreshing and thoughtful look at the city’s past across many decades. Sam was approachable, engaging, and more than willing to answer questions throughout the tour. The logistics were seamless—the meeting spot was easy to find, and Sam communicated clearly via email and text beforehand. I especially appreciated that he provided a way to contact him in case anyone got lost or needed to catch up with the group. He was punctual and kept the tour moving at a comfortable pace. At the end of the tour, Sam was happy to offer directions and recommendations for other places to visit or eat, which was a thoughtful touch and very helpful for those unfamiliar with the area. My son and daughter-in-law recently moved to Boston, and I’ll definitely be recommending this tour to them and any of their out-of-town guests. Whether you're a visitor or a local, this is a must-see experience that offers a deeper, more meaningful understanding of Boston.

This tour was so great. Sam did a great job of incorporating the secret and untold history of Boston. Things you wouldn't hear on other Boston tours. Would definitely recommend it to history buffs who want to learn more than just what's on the Freedom Trail. Definitely check it out.
This tour gives the history you're not going to hear on any other tour! Whether you're a local, you've been to Boston 10 times, or this is your first trip, you're going to learn something new about the city. Having lived in Boston for over 2 years, almost everything in this tour was new to me. We went to areas I've never been to before, and learned the history that they don't teach you in school. Sam was incredibly personable and a fountain of knowledge about everything Boston. This tour is how you'll learn the real history of Boston!
Such an incredible tour of Boston!! Our Tour Guide, Sam, is such an excellent story teller and this tour shares stories of Boston you won’t find on any other tour!! The tour also brings you to awesome places in Boston that you likely won’t find on your own. I’m a local and have lived here for many years and saw parts of Boston that I never knew existed or just had never made it to. Can’t recommend this tour enough! If you’re trying to decide between the Freedom Trail tour and this one, pick this one, you won’t regret it!!
