Apollo og Daphne – en marmorskulptur i barokstil i naturlig størrelse, udført af den italienske kunstner Gian Lorenzo Bernini og udført i 1622-1625. Placeret i Borghese-galleriet i Rom, skildrer dette værk kulminationen af Apollons og Daphnes historie (Phoebe og Daphne) i Ovids Metamorfose.
Pauline Bonaparte som Venus Victrix (eller Venus Victorious) er en semi-nøgen neoklassisk portrætskulptur i naturlig størrelse af den italienske billedhugger Antonio Canova. Det blev bestilt af Pauline Bonapartes mand Camillo Borghese og henrettet i Rom fra 1805 til 1808, efter at hun giftede sig med repræsentanten for Borghese-familien. Derefter flyttede skulpturen til Camillos hus i Torino, derefter til Genova, og ankom først til Galleria Borghese omkring 1838.
To buster af kardinal Scipione Borghese er marmorportrætskulpturer skabt af Gian Lorenzo Bernini i 1632. Begge versioner af portrættet er placeret i Borghese Gallery i Rom.
Truth Unveiled by Time er en marmorskulptur af Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Den blev udført mellem 1646 og 1652. Kunstneren ønskede at vise Sandheden allegorisk, som en nøgen ung dame, der blev afsløret af en Time-figur over hende. En figur af Tid blev dog aldrig henrettet. Bernini formåede at udtrykke sin idé ved at tilføje figuren i 1665.
David er en marmorskulptur i naturlig størrelse af Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Kardinal Scipione Borghese bestilte det til at dekorere Borghese-galleriet. Mesterværket blev færdiggjort på syv måneder, fra 1623 til 1624. This company was well organized and communicative. The greeters were welcoming and friendly. Our tour guide Martina was incredibly knowledgeable, charming and inclusive. So grateful.
We arranged a small group guided tour at the Borghese Gallery for our group of 6 and all agreed it was the most incredible experience so far! What a treat it was to tour this beautiful museum in such uncrowded spaces (due to the strict time limit) and absolutely soak in the stunning beautify of it all! We learned so much from our incredible guide Martina (so sorry none of us could quite remember her name, but we all remember her kindness and knowledge and easy way of guiding us through the masterpieces). We came away six new fans of Bernini! An absolute must see when in Rome.

This tour was amazing. Our guide had so much knowledge and made the 2 hour tour very interesting. She shared really interesting details regarding the relationship between pieces of art in a single space and the rich history of the papal family. Highly recommended! Even my teen boys loved it.

Nice collection, the Berninis are spectacular. Tour took a full 2 hours but not much time to stop and admire, and skipped some rooms or moved quickly. But plenty of time with sculptures and Caravaggios. Good tour guide.

Our guide Alessandra was excellent. She was friendly, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Through her expertise, she conveyed not just the factual information about the magnificent sculptures and paintings, but also the colourful stories behind them. The Borghese collection is fabulous in itself, but to have it brought to life through the personal details and backstory of the Borghese protagonists was delightful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this small-group tour of the Borghese Gallery. Our guide, Marina, was exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the art and history of the museum.
