Book dagsvandring i Rau Forest Reserve, nær Moshi Town i Tanzania
Beskrivelse
Træet bruges af de traditionelle healere fra de nærliggende samfund til ritualer og medicinske formål ved brug af træets bark. Nogle mennesker tror, at træet kan bruges til at forfølge den onde ånd. Skovvandringen involverer også besøg og, hvis interesseret, deltager i vores bevaringsinitiativ til enten at tilbringe 30-45 minutter i vores træskoler, vanding og håndtering af unge frøplanter eller plante nogle træer for at hjælpe med at bevare skoven. Fra kanten af skoven i den sydlige del kan vandreturen udvides til de risfarme, hvor de lokale landmænd udfører et kunstvandingssystem til mere end 3000 ha risgrunde.

Peter was an amazing guide and picked us up at our hotel and even brought us back again. He told us all about the different animals, trees and plants whilst the forest walk. He is so funny and his interest for wildlife is addictive and we loved to hear about his stories. He has a lot of experience and we would recommend going on a tour with him anytime. The forest tour was great. It was really nice to get out of the city buzz for a few hours and take some time to explore around the forest, rice field's and see the monkeys! Peter was a really good guide, he knew a lot about the forest, different trees and animals and the lifestyle of the farmers. Very much recommend :-)

The Rau Forest Hiking Tour was really nice! We saw lots of monkeys and special kind of trees and fruits. We also really enjoyed the Rice fields, it was wonderful! You could walk between the fields. The guide Peter has lots of knowledge and is really kind. He is very flexibel and willing to help you. He picked us up at our accomodation. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!
