Bombning af Darwin WWII Heritage Tours

Gary made the 4 hour tour really enjoyable by sharing his knowledge and stories in such a relaxed and fun way.

It tells you about a war in Australia, that like me, you don't know about. It is brought to life by using true stories about people who fought in the war. It also explains where some place names and street names came from. Very informative and entertaining.

This was the first tour I booked for my week in Darwin. An excellent choice , Garry was a first class guide. In the 4 hour tour we learnt so much about the bombing of Darwin, 19th February 1942. Garrys encyclopaedic knowledge of the events was presented not as a bossy teacher but more of an old family friend, and at times a very funny one too. I highly recommend this tour and can easily give it 5/5.

Gary shared his love of WW2 relating to the bombing of Darwin. It was informative and he included the stories of many of the soldiers which made for interesting listening. He also pointed out many places of interest.

Very personalised small group with an engaging host. Gary took the time to learn our names and look after us in a typically Australian way. The tour was full of stops and interesting stories and I felt a real connection with Darwin given my grandfather served here in WW2.

The whole thing experience was absolutely first class. The information provided by the host Garry was extremely deep and well researched and presented in a fantastic manner. Garry is obviously passionate about the subject and is such a great host - his wide ranging knowledge of Darwin, and the wonderfully laconic was that the information was presented was totally amazing - I’d go so far to say that this tour is a must do for anyone who visits Darwin. Thank you for your efforts and expertise Garry.

Gary took 6 of us on a comfortable 4 hour entertaining drive , his knowledge of Darwin and his enthusiasm in delivering his stories made for a wonderful tour. Highly recommend.

Local guide Gary has a wonderful sense of humour and excellent knowledge of the bombing of Darwin. Lots of local history mixed in.

Fantastic insight into the history behind the WW2 bombing of Darwin intertwined with yarns about some of Darwin's unique personalities and given by arguably by Darwin's most engaging and quirkiest character of all,our host,storyteller and tour guide Garry.
