A great day birding with a local expert. Rajneesh took me to several locations and we saw a lot of great variety. We saw about 81 species in 12 hours or so. Birders, bring your binoculars and book this tour! It was exceptional. Rajneesh, my guide, has a passion for birding, including an impressive depth of knowledge of not only the birds and hot spots in the Bangalore area, but also of birds in the Americas. He is fluent in English, knowledgeable about which species are expected and which are unexpected treats, has an excellent ability to spot birds (even those slyly camouflaged guys), is conversant on species’ habits, descriptions and differences among similar species both here in India and in the US (my place of origin). On top of all that, he is a delightful, smart touring companion. As a female traveling alone, any concerns I had about booking this tour were gone with my first interaction with Rajneesh. We birded from 6 to 11 am, took a long lunch break and ended with late afternoon birding until the light failed us. We easily saw 100 species, most of which were lifers for me. This tour far exceeded my expectations!

Absolutely fantastic day of birding with Rajneesh. He is a perfect host and an extremely knowledgeable guide. As a women travelling on my own, I felt 100% safe and secure. The birding was brilliant and it was a fabulous way to get to know Bengaluru and surrounding areas. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough - 10 stars from me!

My coworker and I had the best day bird watching around Bangalore. Rajneesh was talented at identifying the birds and shared fun facts about them and other natural elements we came across on the trip. The food stops were also delicious and felt food safe for foreign bellies! The day flew by and I couldn’t believe the amount of new birds I added to by life list in one day. A few of them included — Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Indian Paradise Flycatcher, Greater Coulcal, and White-throated kingfisher. I would highly recommend Rajneesh’s services and companionship to any level of a birder visiting the Bangalore area!

Day was catered to what I needed exactly! Very knowledgeable and pointed all species out very quickly and clearly. Very enjoyable day, I was especially excited to see one of the species that I mentioned I wanted to find, the black shouldered kite. Would highly recommend this tour.

I booked a tour with Rajneesh and had a great day. He set up the day with us starting at a nice wildlife area with a trail going around a lake. Great variety of birds in the lake and the scrub around it. Then we headed to Nandi Hills were we spent a good part of the rest of the day hiking the trails as we climbed to the top. He told me that we may not see a ton of birds at Nandi Hills but we will see good variety and he was correct. Ended the day with 86 species. He has a great ear and knows all the birds singing.. I would recommend him and if in Bangalore, I will use him again.

Rajneesh was a fantastic bird guide getting me onto several birds I wanted to see. He took my wants and wishes into account when planning the day trip for me. He is a very experienced birder and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any one of my birding friends. It was nice having the driver stay with the car while we birded certain areas!

I visted Bengaluru for two weeks in November 2022 for work, and I was keen to photograph as many Indian birds as possible at the weekend. I found Rajneesh's tour offering on TripAdvisor, and made contact with him. We arranged everything in advance, communication was excellent throughout. On the day, we were out before dawn, and Rajneesh took me to several different locations throughout the day, all very rich in variety and density of birdlife. Rajneesh is a highly experienced naturalist and field-guide, and he has an excellent eye for hidden birds, many times he pointed out something special that I hadn't even noticed (e.g. perched Shikra, Common Buzzard, Brown Shrike, Black-headed Cuckooshrike). Highly recommended.

Having been to Bangalore for business a number of times, I was keen to experience what birdlife existed in the area. I contacted Rajneesh via his Birding website and we arranged a day out. I have to say I was very impressed with the variety of habitats and the birds we saw on a fairly grey (initially) Sunday in October. Rajneesh was an excellent companion with a huge local and wider knowledge of birds and their environments. We had a full day out - pretty much dawn to dusk and I was very pleased to have had the opportunity to meet Rajneesh and see more of the Bangalore region, for example the Nandi Hills, than I had before. We spotted over 100 species...100% down to Rajneesh. If you enjoy birding, photography and good company...spend a day with Rajneesh.
