This was a terrible experience. I bought the tickets online but could not download the QR code. When we arrived, I showed them my confirmation number and they said they needed the QR code, we tried for 20 minutes to get it downloaded with no success. I then tried to call Viator but it just rang and rang with no answer. We ended up having to but the tickets again from Teamlab. I explained the issue to both Tripadvisor and Viator with several emails. They said so sorry, but they would not refund the tickets we bought through them. Best to buy directly from Teamlab even it cost a little more, to save a lot of headaches and frustration. Jim
Been to TWO in Tokyo as well. This experience would have probably been my children's favorite as the entire theme revolves around animals. My kids loved the zoos around the world.
Great immersive experience. Good for adults and kids alike. Parking can be expensive however. Other team labs may be more extensive. Ticketing through this company works well
I thought this was really fun as I haven’t did this before. My girlfriend said the one in Tokyo was better though. This would’ve been real fun if I brought my young son. It was definitely worth the time and a great rainy day activity which worked out timing and weather wise perfectly for us. It was also in a cool building with some other interesting places. And easy transport to and from.
I had no experience, apart from being told I could not enter, as they did not recognise the company who sold me the tickets. I was refused entry!!!! Do not buy tickets through Viator (Trevopedia Wonders), but to book through Team Lab website, cheaper too. I have not received my refund, but I have received the request to review the experience.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced. We take this matter very seriously. Your tickets were issued, and they should have been accepted at the venue. Being denied entry is not something that should ever happen, and we understand how upsetting this must have been for you.
----- ENGLISH ----- (en español más abajo) This experience is absolutely incredible! I had previously visited the TeamLab in Tokyo and loved it, but the Fukuoka one is even better. I felt like a kid again—amazed by the vibrant colors, soothing lights, relaxing music, and how deeply immersive the whole experience is. We spent hours inside! At the entrance, they recommend downloading an app to use in the first room… and I totally suggest you do it. It’s basically like playing Pokémon Go, but with real animals in neon colors. You have to find them and throw a net to catch them. Once you do, the app shows you information about each animal (physical traits, habitat, diet, etc.). It’s not only super fun—you also learn along the way. There are 59 animals in total, and I managed to catch 55 (I never found the other four!). We were lucky to visit when it wasn’t crowded, so we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. We spent about two hours trying to catch all the animals, thinking that was all there was—but we were pleasantly surprised to discover there were even more areas to explore! We paid ¥4,800 for two tickets. The staff was very kind, and there’s even an area where you can design your own T-shirt and create other personalized items (I believe this is an extra charge—I didn’t try it). It's an experience for children, adults, families, couples, friends, and everyone. I definitely recommend visiting!
A really beautiful and trippy experience. Loved the first room spent almost an our just capturing animals. The other rooms were fun too especially getting to draw and make your own merch in the last room but the best experience is really made at the beginning in my opinion.
teamLab Forest Fukuoka – An Immersive Art Experience I visited teamLab Forest Fukuoka and walked away genuinely impressed. This isn’t just a “walk-through” exhibit—the art reacts the moment you step into it, creating a seamless blend of physical movement, nature-inspired projection, and digital interactivity
Some sections were unreasonably controlled, enforcing a strict "forward only" rule, even when I was alone in the room. The experience felt a bit too robotic at times, lacking a common-sense, flexible approach. On our second visit, we weren’t allowed to re-enter the first room, which was disappointing. That said, the experience is entertaining for all age groups. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Lab. It’s definitely worth experiencing, especially if it's first-time visit.
It’s a smaller venue than the other TeamLab in Tokyo. It’s geared for younger children b/c the initial exhibit allows to point and capture the animals. There is no area to wait before the attraction opens. We were instructed to arrive one hour beforehand and it opens at 11 am. There’s no food offered while waiting. We ended up walking around the nearby commercial shopping building adjacent to the event. It was a fun, interactive event and the best attraction was at the end with the personalized, computer image
