Traditionen med vanddukketeater stammer fra en tid, hvor rismarkerne blev oversvømmet, og landsbybeboerne lavede underholdning ved at stå i det taljedybe vand med dukkerne optræde over vandet. Ved at bruge store stænger til at støtte dukkerne så det ud, som om de bevægede sig over vandet med dukkeførerne skjult bag en skærm. Denne tradition er unik for Nordvietnam, men har for nylig fundet berømmelse på scener over hele verden; så det er en sjælden fornøjelse at se dukkerne optræde på deres oprindelige sted på Dragon Water Puppet Theatre. Forestillinger akkompagneres af et vietnamesisk orkester, der spiller traditionel musik ved hjælp af trommer, træklokker, horn, bambusfløjter og bækkener. While purchasing tickets directly at the counter on the day might sometimes offer different seating options, it comes with a high risk of being turned away if the show is full. Our service aims to provide peace of mind and a hassle-free experience for travelers with tight schedules. Sadly, english is my only language so I had to figure out what the story was. It was fun to watch and looking up how it was done was cool!

Great communication from the trip operator and the lady who dropped off the tickets for us . Unfortunately we were in the second row from the back of the theatre (of at least 20 rows) which made viewing difficult . I would check where the seats are before booking as we were disappointed. Having said that the production was excellent .

This is a great show especially if you're a history buff . Very traditional and great place for a Date or even with a family. The neighborhood is lively
